Elegance Estates was the perfect venue for our April wedding. We got married in a church and had the reception at Elegance Estates, and it was absolutely beautiful. I am a very minimalistic girl, so I did not provide the venue coordinator (Brittany—she’s amazing) with very much decor or direction and she still somehow made everything look perfect. Their catering team is awesome and the food was delicious. The set up provides lots of space for guests to move and mingle, and we had a blast dancing in the ballroom. Would highly recommend! They made wedding planning so easy.

The Silk Mill & The Woolen Mill were the perfect venues for our wedding. From the start, their communication was effective, fast, and responsive. Shannon, our day-of coordinator, was amazing to work with from start to finish - she was friendly, knowledgeable, and able to answer all of our questions. The venues themselves were beautiful, affordable, and accommodating, with a timeless aesthetic that made for the perfect backdrop to our special day. Our wedding was at the Woolen Mill and I cannot recommend the venue or the staff enough! All of the staff were friendly and responsive, both over email and in person. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we highly recommend these venues to any couple planning their wedding.

Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the amazing atmosphere and scenic backdrop. Christopher, our venue coordinator, was exceptional. He went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, from setup to last-minute adjustments, and made us feel completely at ease. I found The Garden ALX here on Zola and was completely satisfied with our experience. We had a kid-friendly Sunday afternoon reception and the venue fit the bill perfectly. They had multiple packages to choose from and an hourly rate as well. We had a four hour reception and they threw in two hours of free setup and an hour to take down and clear up. They also have yard games and other add ons you can include. Mary was great to work with and helped with any questions along the way. The only advice I would give is to reach out to them directly instead of through Zola for a faster response initially. Given the high price tag if venues in the DC area The Garden is a great option if your wedding is under 100 guests and you are looking to have a more casual reception.

My wife Brittany and I have had a fantastic and transformative experience dancing at Forever Dancing Ballroom! We found them at one of their open house events and immediately booked a package of lessons with Fabio for our wedding. Our dance lessons were always a fun break from wedding planning, and we left every dance lesson feeling better than we did when we walked in. It was exciting to learn new moves and choreography at every lesson. At first, we thought the techniques were difficult, but with practice and good coaching, we were able to learn the steps and perform a romantic and fun first dance at our wedding. It was thrilling to do our dance in front of such a supportive and enthusiastic crowd - we absolutely loved the magic moment of our first dance! My wife and I had a casual interest in dancing before we worked on the first dance with Fabio, but since then, we've become hooked and now we take group classes and have continued with private lessons as well. Jennifer Bonini manages the studio classes, billing, private lessons, events, and more. She is friendly, funny, and supportive, and very excellent at keeping everything organized. A talented dancer herself, Jennifer has also shared some excellent dance coaching with us from time to time. Other coaches at the studio are similarly personable and welcoming to all. The entire vibe at Forever Dancing is simply perfect for those looking for an approachable dance studio that will keep you smiling, moving, and have a blast dancing. I highly encourage you to visit Forever Dancing Ballroom as a studio: for wedding first dance lessons, group classes, cool workshops, and a fulfilling way to spend your time!

I absolutely adore venues that offer a unique and personal space for couples. Windy Knolls is just that! Their barn space has such a wonderful and rustic charm. The inclusion of tables, chairs, getting ready space, a built-in bar, space that can be used just for catering, and more is truly so helpful. The space was perfect for a 40-person wedding I coordinated. The owner was so kind and just a quick reach away if we needed anything. She also was so trusting and communicated clear expectations, both characteristics are incredibly helpful as a coordinator. If you're looking for a cozy, charming place to get married away from the hustle and bustle, this is it!

We absolutely loved Sweeney Barn as our wedding venue! The space was stunning, with bright, natural lighting in the ceremony area that made everything feel warm and inviting. One of our favorite features was the ability to have an outdoor cocktail hour during golden hour—it created such a beautiful and magical atmosphere. The grand reception space, with its gorgeous chandeliers, added an elegant touch, and there were so many versatile areas for guests to explore, including an outdoor space perfect for stepping out for fresh air or enjoying a cigar. Sweeney Barn truly had everything we wanted for a perfect wedding. Andrea, in particular, was incredible to work with—she made the whole planning process seamless. We also worked with many of their preferred vendors, all of whom provided top-notch service and high-quality products. It was a dream come true, and we can’t recommend this venue enough!

The Capital Jewish Museum is a beautiful venue with flexible event spaces and thoughtfully curated exhibits. The space is modern and well-appointed with AV, lighting and equipment including tables, chairs and bars. All are high quality and brand new! Event spaces throughout the Museum make for lots of different party plans - a spacious, open first floor would work nicely for a ceremony or program with cocktails on the open-air roof terrace and second floor with time to flip the ceremony space for dinner. We picked Clyde’s because the location was close to my church, where we did the ceremony, and because it was one of the few venues in that radius that fit our budget. I picked Clyde’s for practical reasons and looking back I couldn’t have made a better choice. I always knew I wanted my wedding reception to be fun and relaxed and have plenty of good food and drinks for my guests. Clyde’s so fit the bill. First, the food is simple yet delicious. We already knew that from dining there, and the tasting confirmed it. We were able to make menu choices to please everyone. Second, our room was beautiful and uniquely decorated and that makes a fun atmosphere. It was large enough to fit all our guests and have room to dance (we had about 50 people, but could have fit more in the room.) finally, the service was exceptional - all our guests commented on how great the servers and bartenders were at their jobs. We felt so welcome. The event staff went above and beyond to work with me to decorate and set tables to my specifications. If you are considering Clyde’s, I highly recommend them. DC wedding venues are expensive and Clyde’s was one of the few places we could afford, but even if our budget was higher, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

Boqueria Penn Quarter was an exceptional choice for our reception venue. From the first time we met with Hadley, their communication was professional, responsive, and well organized. On the day of our wedding reception, the staff was warm, attentive, and truly made us and our guests feel special. The food was absolutely delicious - our guests are still raving about it! They need a 10-star rating! So, I was on TikTok looking for bridal shower places when I stumbled upon this beauty. So, I asked my fiancé at the time, if you know me then what you know about this place? He said, you like it because it has all those crystals and chandeliers! I instantly hit the contact us button. I began communicating with Pura who was very personable. I said OK let me go look at these reviews. I went on every page I knew that had reviews and they were 5-star no complaints. I said well let me book to go see it in person because pictures can be deceiving. We scheduled a tour of the event and when I tell you this place can't be touched with a 10 foot pole. I have not found a Venue yet that can TOP this one. From the time you walk in, to the ballrooms, the best dressing area and even the bathrooms are so clean you can eat off the food (not that you would but that's how clean and neat the place is). Pura thanks for all the phone messages day or night one thing for sure she was never too busy to get back with me. She was very accommodating. Farah the decor was gorgeous. Andrea thanks for pulling things together as the coordinator alongside Pura. Every time I visited; they made you feel welcomed. My family talked about the level of hospitality that you all provided at the rehearsal and wedding. They made sure all my vendors were in place to take the stress off of me on my wedding day. The overall service gives you royal and rich vibes.

We had the most beautiful wedding here in September. The center was perfect for our ceremony and reception, where we had 90 guests. From first providing a tour of the venue to answering random questions in the months after, Katrina and Ashleigh were extremely helpful and we appreciated their flexibility. The venue provides chairs and tables, which was very helpful planning-wise. One note: There are a lot of stairs and there is no elevator, so this may not be the space for you if you need more accessibility. We received many compliments about the inherent beauty of the space, and we loved that it had separate spaces. On the first floor, we had a board game room, bar and photo booth room setup, as well as our guest book. On the second floor, we had another bar on the terrace, the food room for a dinner buffet and dessert afterward, and the main ceremony/reception ballroom. If we had to do it again, we'd do it at Josephine Butler in a heartbeat.

The perfect venue and team through and through! We spent our entire wedding weekend at Seven Springs, having our rehearsal dinner Friday evening in the Carriage House and staying on site throughout the weekend. It was an amazing location that had everything we wanted, and had plenty of space for our bridal party to stay on site as well. The venue goes above and beyond the stately driveway and Manor House – the outdoor ceremony site is immaculately maintained, the courtyard has the perfect blend of enchanting and cozy, and the pavilion provides a wonderful area for a reception. We received so many compliments on our wedding – and to us it was perfect! None of this would have been possible without Tracy and her team. Having Tracy as our day-of coordinator at Seven Springs was one of the best decisions of our entire wedding. She was immensely helpful in planning, providing multiple vendor recommendations and keeping track of decisions as they were made. Not only did she stay organized with layouts, timelines, and vendor communication – she provided a sense of relief for us and our family and friends. There was never a moment that Tracy wasn’t there to solve anything as it came up, and allowed our bridal party and family to enjoy our wedding more as guests than needing to help with anything. We are beyond grateful for all her hard work and the amazing team at Seven Springs! If you are searching for a venue that has an elevated farm-style atmosphere while still having cottage charm traits – this is the place. I cannot emphasize enough how brilliant our weekend was, and it will continue to hold a special place in our hearts!

As soon as we took a tour of the Atrium, we knew this was the perfect spot to get married. The gardens are beautiful, and the inside the building the glass walls, plants, and little river give an airy and natural feel. I didn't worry about rain because you feel like you're outside even when you're in. When guests got too hot on the dance floor, they could go out and socialize on the patio overlooking the gardens in the cool night air. Given the meal prices for comparable venues, this venue is GREAT VALUE!! The food was great and the guests were happy. There were a couple small things that might be helpful to share, though. Our point of contact changed several times in the span of our engagement and there was sometimes a delay in communication. Also, the venue was marketed as a capacity of 200 people but it is better suited to weddings of 160-180 guests. When you go over 180, you have to choose some guests to seat in a room that feels divided by the little stream which is awkward. Also, there is no space for getting ready so brides and bridesmaids have to get ready off-site. Overall, I was overjoyed with having my wedding day here and I think for the price we still had an incredible experience. I don't regret it at all!!

We also loved Woodend’s gorgeous property, which really shined for our late October wedding. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with a scenic outdoor area that was perfect for our small-to-medium sized celebration. Lauren organized all the logistics for us, and her professionalism and attention to detail made the day stress-free. Solace Brewing Company, located in Sterling/Dulles, VA, has a large tap room and restaurant area great for hosting group events. Pre-wedding welcome receptions, rehearsal dinners, showers, company parties, happy hours, meetings, client appreciations, birthday parties, etc. can all be hosted here. Solace was founded in 2017 and is the largest distribution craft brewery in Northern Virginia and Washington DC. The tap room event space in Sterling, VA is a large open space with a full bar, kitchen, arcade area, pet-friendly outdoor patio, 9 big screen TV's, all with a great view of the massive production brewery space.

I have attended special events at Solace Brewing Company and I have to say their beer is the best in town. Their craft beers are exceptional and now that they serve food, they have many other options for those that do not drink beer. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a gathering with friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great beer in a welcoming environment!
