“The Afterparty Band and their Duo was one of the best choices we made for our wedding of 100 people! The Duo also set a great ambiance to our outdoor Cocktail Hour. Now, our guests are still talking about how much fun they had dancing and singing along with the band all night. We loved the visuals with lighting, dancing, costume changes, and props. My husband and I couldn’t find time to leave the dance floor because their compilations just flow from one to the next. At first I thought our party would be too small for an 8-piece band at the reception, but they were the perfect addition to build up the crowd and keep everyone together on the dance floor. They even came into the crowd to sing and play instruments to stir up enthusiasm. My only regret was not having more time to chat with our guests for longer because we simply couldn’t peel ourselves off the dance floor. Tristan and Jeff are so responsive, and they were able to work with both me and my wedding coordinators directly to take some of the logistics off my plate. It was also very fun working with the band for all requests. They learned our first dance song so quickly and even sent me a sample of a shortened version of the song to practice to with my husband. They are a wonderful band for any kind of event, large or small, that you want your guests dancing all night with happy hearts.”

They answered all out of questions and addressed concerns we had. We booked them immediately because we didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to work with them. We met with them several times through our 6 month planning process. They responded immediately to any questions that popped up along the way and even allowed us to make a last minute change the night before. They well exceeded our musical playlist, taking the songs we requested and tailoring the rest of the music to fit the vibe. There was a perfect mix of live songs and an awesome dj set. The amount of compliments my husband & I received about the band far exceeded anything we expected. All of our guests LOVED them (of course as did we). So many people reached out that night or the next day to say how impressed they were with Ana, Jimmy & the whole band. We also had an acoustic guitar player at our cocktail hour which was amazing. If you’re debating getting a band for your wedding because your heart is set on a DJ, seriously look no further than Amp DJ Band hybrid. You will not be disappointed. It started with a 1hr sync before the wedding where we explained to them the vibe and the small little details that we wanted to include. Bryan and Rafael were so knowledgeable and so open to our suggestions and needs. The day of they showed up on time and had everything ready and set up on time. When our timeline got pushed a little they were super accommodating and helped keep the guests entertained. My mom was raving about the song choices that Rafael included. He hit the sweet spot of doing updated R&B songs and also older songs from my parents generation that had my mom in tears enjoying the atmosphere.
