Their team provides DJ, MC, and lighting design services, as well as stellar live musician ensembles that can play your ceremony or mix with the DJ, which give you the sound and energy of a full live band with the genre versatility and affordability of a DJ.
Traveling Discotheque is a DJ and musician collective for music lovers. We are passionate about creating the ideal musical experience and lighting vibe for your wedding. We only provide services that we are passionate about, which are interactive music curation and DJing, high fidelity sound reinforcement, unique lighting design, and live musician experiences. No photo booths or cheesy pyrotechnics. Our unique style involves minimal quick mixing, musical blends instead of scratching, and a "let the music speak for itself" MC style.

The Traveling Discotheque!
We had a great time working with Rian. We really loved Rian's passion for music. We provided a list of songs for Rian and he did a great job curating the music and his additions worked very well. His mixing was smooth and clean! Our wedding venue was in a remote location and Rian was able to provide equipment for three separate sites with only one site being indoors with outlets. Rian was also responsive and clear during our email correspondences prior to the wedding. He was on time and his setup occurred without a hitch.
The perfect dj
Traveling Discoteque delivered an absolutely incredible experience for our wedding! One of the highlights was their talented live saxophone player, who added an amazing layer of energy and sophistication to the music. DJ Ryan's skill at mixing different genres was phenomenal - he seamlessly blended tracks and kept everyone engaged on the dance floor throughout the night. What really stood out was how they created the perfect vibe for our celebration. They struck that ideal balance between keeping the party energetic while maintaining the elegance of a wedding reception. Their ability to read the room and adjust the music accordingly helped create unforgettable moments for us and our guests. Amazing musical experience!
We cannot recommend more highly using Traveling Discotheque for your wedding musical needs! Working with DJs Rian and Sam was a dream – starting with an initial meeting where they got to know us, our musical tastes and what aspirations we had for the musical vibe at our wedding. They are professional and knowledgeable and also just really fun and easy to get along with. We utilized their DJing along with multiple live brass instrumentalists for our ceremony and reception. They worked hard to practice songs we wanted to hear with the instrumentalists. The mood they set for the reception and after party got everyone moving – I know that we never wanted to get off the dance floor as it was so fun! Rian and Sam crafted a soundtrack to our big day that was more perfect than we could have imagined and is the backdrop to all the amazing memories we have!

I can thoroughly recommend Traveling Discotheque! All of the music and emcee services were flawless, from pre-ceremony to the end of the night - we were taken care of. I consider myself to be very particular about how music choice can affect the vibe of something, and going into planning my wedding I knew that DJ choice would be paramount to creating the right atmosphere that also reflects my and my bride's personality and taste. We kept saying "This is the biggest party of our lives", and the DJ is the life of the party. I'm so glad I found Rian Souleles and Traveling Discotheque. The sample mixes on their website had a good vibe that I knew I'd enjoy at my own wedding, so I reached out. Very promptly we had a video call, he asked me to provide some of our music tastes ahead of time and we talked through those choices and he gave me his perspective on how he guides the energy of the night. I was sold then. My bride and I then made some sample playlists for different times of the night, and Traveling Discotheque took those and were able to excellently weave those throughout the night, as well as accentuate our playlist with additional choices to match. Transitions were smooth, energy of the crowd was managed, and we were dancing all night. We got so many compliments from our friends about the DJ, I don't know what else to add - they're great!
