Skylark was the best possible venue we could have booked for our wedding reception, full stop. Throughout the booking process, they were always highly responsive and professional. They invited us back for drink tastings, for catering option tastings, and even once got my now-wife and her two friends a table on a crowded Saturday night without a reservation. All in all, the venue itself is amazing. We lucked out and got the rooftop for our cocktail hour which we extended an extra 45m 'til sunset and our guests loved taking photos. The main dance area / bar of Skylark is fashionable, chic, and has a certain vibe that meshed perfectly with what my wife and I were looking for. They also have excellent side-rooms for the wedding party to take a moment to decompress in a cool leather-bound corner apartment with its own bar, bathroom, and changing area. The were a few things that really caught my attention as we were touring for the first time: the downstairs entrance is dark, moody, and intentionally a bit industrial which really helps set a New York vibe. Upstairs, I noticed our tour guide thought the music was a touch too loud in one of the side-rooms, so he immediately tweaked the volume down a notch on their iPad music controls. The drinks were excellent (we opted for the Cherry Blossom Old Fashioned and the French 75 for our wedding cocktails). We also came back to sample the food options (we went for a cocktail-style dinner with phased courses throughout the night), & they were all incredibly delicious thanks to Skylark's partnership with Abigail Kirsch. Lastly, our coordinator was Phil Montana and he is one of the best parts of our experience. He has exceptional attention to detail, coordination skills, and a warm & empathetic personality. I would also like to recognize the staff who were all wonderful in taking care of us & our guests throughout the night. If you are on the fence, I would highly suggest a tour. When we booked, Skylark did not have a ton of reviews either on Zola or on The Knot, so this review is my way of encouraging any readers to give it a shot -- if you are looking for a fashionable, chic New York wedding experience, The Skylark really cannot be beat. I'm looking forward to returning periodically as regular customers as well!

Loft39 is a dream venue. My husband and I got married in October 2022 and we knew this was the only venue we wanted to have our reception. The details are stunning and it was the perfect size for our 80-90 person wedding. They handled all of our requests with very quick responses and a willingness to meet our ideas. We worked with Kendall who was the absolute best, went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we had and even found ways we could be efficient and save some money. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives. So much of that sentiment is due to the amazing setting we had, but more importantly all the people who made it possible. We got married at Sound River Studios in August 2022, and it was truly the most beautiful and perfect venue for us. Una is an accommodating and professional venue manager. While you have to book everything separately into this blank canvas of miracle space, you won't be restricted to a list of vendors – however, Una is happy to share info on companies who have worked (and impressed) at the venue before. What I particularly appreciated was her honesty in providing advice and her open-minded approach to any ideas we'd bring forward. We ultimately went with the majority of her recommendations, and I have to say, being surrounded by a team that knew each other and the venue made all the difference. The space itself is incredible. The indoor/outdoor setting is ideal and offers plenty of flexibility to adapt to weather and or guestlist fluctuations. The view is one-of-a-kind. Located right at the East River you get uninterrupted views of the skyline, both during the day- and nighttime. And the breeze from the offer is a very welcome refreshment during hot summer months. We actually went with another one of BK venues the 26 Bridge St location. Everything is A la carte but that was great so I got to use all the vendors we wanted without stress. It was smooth and we got 12 hours for the event and they opened an hr earlier which was helpful. Shout out to Darleen she answered all my questions on site.

This venue space features a unique, large and open-spaced floor plan. Houston Hall has the ability to accommodate up to 225 guests comfortably when seated. In addition, we have a spacious, private dressing room that overlooks the hall. This is where you can get ready before your walk down the aisle. Guests will be able to take in the warm, vintage environment of Houston Hall as they walk around the naturally lit, open space.

Houston Hall is an impressive space in its own right, a grand beer hall with a distinct history and a stunning interior, but it was transformed into a beautiful, otherworldly space for our wedding, one reminiscent of the most ornate and inviting banquet halls. The staff was terrific, making sure everything moved briskly and rearrangements -- for example, taking all the chairs from the ceremony and moving them to the dining tables -- were done effortlessly. The food is exceptional (seriously, the best wedding food we've had!), the drinks are well made, and the vibe is at once funky and hip while also being historical, invoking New York's past. We could not have picked a better place for our wedding, and, were we to do it over, Houston Hall would still be our number one choice.

We had our casual post-wedding party for friends in the upstairs private room at Madeline’s on a Saturday afternoon. The room is gorgeous and was large enough to accommodate our group of about 30 or so. A lot of space and various seating options. We paid for appetizers for our friends to enjoy and had a cash bar. We also brought a cake and Madeline’s provided plates and silverware. Brenton, the owner, was easy to work with. He’s a super nice guy and made sure the day was seamless for us. He even hopped behind the bar for a bit when things got busy for the bartender. We definitely recommend the venue for your wedding, engagement / bridal parties, and baby showers.

From the minute my fiance (now husband!) started looking at wedding venues, we knew we wanted something with a very NYC feel. Tribeca Rooftop was the second venue we looked at and we were sold. We cancelled all our other appointments and signed our contract for a June 2023 wedding. From the beginning of the wedding planning process, Donna was amazing to work with. I asked A LOT of questions and sent A LOT of emails and she always responded in a timely fashion and never made me feel as though I was being annoying (which I'm sure I was being haha). When it was about a month before our wedding, we were handed over to Andrew, who was equally incredible and helpful. On the day of our wedding, we worked with George as our attendant. George was the life of the party, always there to provide us with drinks when we were running low, and will always make sure your lipstick is on and people are where they need to be. George was THE BEST attendant we could have asked for, but I digress... The food: incredible- our cocktail hour was stunning and delicious. SO much food and everyone was raving about how delicious it alll was. The drinks: always flowing and made perfectly! Our bartenders were great and never had people waiting at the bar for their next round. The venue: I mean... STUNNING. Obviously. The staff: amazing! So kind, so helpful, helped really put us at ease throughout the whole process and helped keep our nerves calm on the day of our wedding. Overall: 20/10. Situated in a vibrant, urban setting not far from McCarren Park, there is a chic, design-orientated, and industrial ambience to enjoy here. An ideal place to host your wedding celebration, you are sure to be enthralled by the high quality of space, food, drink, and service within the venue.

Where to even begin! First off, my wife and I had a fairly large wedding for NYC, roughly 200 people, so when we started to look at venues, we were so nervous about what we would find. Rule of Thids was actually the first venue we saw, and we were blown away by the space. If you’re renting out the full venue, you get access to the entire restaurant, plus the event space, as well as the outdoor area. It makes the flow of the wedding so nice, so everyone wasn’t crammed into one space as they were trying to flip it for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing. We were also able to rent out the photo studio attached to the sake shop to get ready in, so we were on-site all day, which was AMAZING. We could easily discuss things with our day-of coordinator, florist, etc., and the space was so large and had impeccable light (our makeup artist and hair stylist were super happy with it!). We chose to use the venue coordinator, Julie, as our day of coordinator, and we cannot say enough good things about her. She was incredibly responsive, super organized, and comes from the wedding industry, so she brought up things that we didn’t even think to consider for the day of that were so helpful. Beyond that, she was so pleasant to work with and just had an amazing, chill vibe that everyone wants from their coordinator on the wedding day. It was also amazing that she works at the venue, so she knew all the ins and outs of the space and could easily coordinate with our other vendors. She helped ensure the bridal party was in the right places at the right time, moved people from room to room when needed, and helped us stay on track with the flow of the wedding, which was perfect and so seamless. She and the ROT team set up the entire space exactly as we envisioned, and everything looked beautiful! The venue is honestly perfect for a wedding. We were able to use private dining spaces in the venue for a photobooth and coat closet, plenty of bathrooms (not something you think about until you go to a wedding with too few!), an amazing outdoor space for guests to cool down/get away from the noise, a huge dance floor area, spacious dining room, and so many bars for our guests to go to. The staff were all amazing, endlessly refilling drinks and food, and everyone was incredibly nice. Even after all of the amazing things above, the best part about Rule of Thirds is the food. From the cocktail hour to the dessert, this food is amazing and well beyond typical wedding standards. We had so many guests tell us how good everything was, and we were told this was the first wedding at the venue where every single canape and raw bar item was eaten, so our guests were very happy! (if you can, splurge on the raw bar because it was so good!!) After the ceremony, they set up a spot for us to sample all the canapes and raw bar items, which we were super thankful for since we would never have eaten anything otherwise. We also had a very specific request for a mazeman noodle dish we had eaten when we toured the space a year prior, and the chef and team made it happen for us, which was AMAZING and so incredibly delicious. If you’re looking for a wedding venue and considering Rule of Thirds, DO IT! We wish we could relive the day all over again because it was so amazing, and we will forever be hoping someone else we know gets married here so we can experience something similar again.
