“Overall music selection and sound was great, maybe a little too loud a some points but that may also be due to speaker placement. There was an issue with the DJ going to the wrong site initially. Our venue had 3 ceremony/reception sites, and he set up across the street at one of the other sites. This caused a delay in set up, but our coordinator and site manger were able to help him. I don’t think he verified with anyone when he arrived that he was at the correct wedding before setting up. Ceremony music sound was great. Microphones were provided which was great so everyone could hear us and our officiant”

Hi there! I started my music education at 8 years old, starting with private piano lessons that spanned 12 years.. leading to a BA in Vocal Performance from Wayne State University, and study abroad in Rome, Italy. I’ve performed as a Soprano soloist/section leader for numerous churches throughout Metro Detroit, and have had the honor of singing with many great bands. I joined Trilogy Band 10 years ago, and truly fell in love with being a part of couples’ special days. There’s nothing like seeing their faces full of joy, and the energy of a packed dance floor! Motor City HDJ started in 1999 as a way to pay for college. The more of my friends' weddings I attended, the more I realized how many bad DJs are out there in the world. I decided at that point I was going to be the "anti-DJ," committing myself to do the opposite of the things that bad DJs do.
