What do you wear?

I dress to match the occasion. For weddings, although I often roll in early in athletic wear to unload and set up my equipment, I will always have professional attire with me that I change in to prior to guest arrival.

Do you take music requests?

I leave this to the couple's discretion. If they are open to allowing requests, I will take them. In our planning sessions I discuss this option ahead of time and if desired, I integrate an app that guests can download and send requests to me directly.

Question 3

Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

Accepted Answer

Quick answer is absolutely! I can cover your day with entertainment from start to finish. Pricing varies according to length of contracted play time, but I can cover as much of the day as you want. I also provide prelude music at no extra charge, and mix during cocktail hour, dinner, and breaks rather than turning on a playlist to run. I will never leave your event entertainment to Spotify or iTunes bc that's not what you're paying for!

What is your style?

As a mobile event DJ, my style is client and crowd centered. Weddings and parties are not clubs, so it's important your DJ is comfortable with music from all genres. I always start with the couple's playlist and add songs based on their music choices. During the reception, the number one way to keep the guests dancing is to read the room. Style goes out the window - unless you want to label it "Whatever Keeps Them Dancing" style.

How early do you come to set up?

I will always be at the venue at least 90 minutes prior to the event start time. However, I often gather information from the couple or day of coordinator about access times. So if the couple's ceremony starts at 5:30pm but they gain access to the venue at 10am, I will likely come begin set up 2 to 2.5 hours early. This is a fool proof way to make sure everything is ready to go and the event runs as smoothly as possible.

Do you provide other services, such as lighting or photo booths?

We do! Dance floor lighting is included in your coverage quote. For an extra fee we can also provide a digital Photo Booth, uplighting (priced per uplight), and digital monograms.

Question 7

What is your travel and break down fee?

Accepted Answer

1 hour of set up and 1 hour of break down are already included in your quote. Travel fees kick in if the event is more than 75 miles from Lexington, Ky.
