We had always wanted to move an old country church and renovate it into a living space. We found that historic churches do not come up for sale often and probably not acceptable to walk up and say “we want to buy your church”. Rob decided to design our own church and drew the plans for what was to become our first lodging venue called “The White House on the Hill”. We both believe that by following your heart, dreams can become your reality. Following the success of The White House on the Hill and receiving requests for additional space we constructed the newest venue, The Barn at The White House on the Hill. It is a 2800 sq ft lodging/event venue with an enchanting design of the french country fused with the grandeur and romance of old historic barns and the modern conveniences of today. Having throughout my life a heart for restoration, I couldn’t help myself when I discovered this property. It had been neglected for years but I could see its potential and its location was perfect. It was tucked just far enough out of the city to feel the serenity of country but not so far out that it was a trip to get there. It had the perfect charm for a wedding venue with its 100 year old house with a wrap around porch surrounded by 100 year old oak trees and the old barn. We designed our venue as an all-inclusive host to your wedding to enable you as a couple and your families to enjoy the celebration while making lasting, precious memories.
