Conestoga House & Gardens is a historic wedding venue located in Lancaster, PA. The manor was originally owned by Christian Hershey, of the chocolate family, who built the house in the 1700s. During the 18th century, it served as a tavern on the Conestoga wagon trade. In the mid-19th century it became an inn and hosted numerous travelers. Purchased by James Hale & Louise McClure Steinman in 1927, it was fully renovated and restored in 1930 by architect Frank J. Everts. Among the venue’s many visitors was the great-nephew of Edgar Allan Poe. Today, the estate abounds with natural beauty, where it boasts 3,300 varieties of annual flowers, 160 perennials, 160 rose bushes, and 400 tropical plants. This space is unique in that it is completed with Italian Renaissance, beaux-arts and Greek Classical architectural types by the well-known architect C. Emlen Urban in 1905. This building was built by C. Emlen Urban in 1925 and is the first and only skyscraper built in the Lancaster area, making it a prominent Landmark for decades to come. The building features Beaux Arts and Italian Renaissance Revival styles, making it a timeless centerpiece to a historic Lancaster City. The observation deck area offers exquisite views of Lancaster, making your event a truly unforgettable experience.

The building that houses the Club was originally built in 1928 by The Women’s Club of Allentown. It was later purchased by The Bar Association of Lehigh County in 1991, where it underwent extensive renovations to restore it to its original grandeur. In 2008 the building underwent a $250,000 renovation to once again update the facility with new carpet, hardwood floors, audio/visual, upgraded kitchen appliances, fresh paint, a new bar, resurfaced parking lot and the creation of an intimate garden in the rear of the building for outdoor intimate affairs. Today, the building currently houses the offices for The Bar Association of Lehigh County and is available to the general public to be rented for special events.
