Swan Lake Resort was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, their communication was easy, helpful, responsive, and fantastic. The venue itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and huge - they have their own storeroom of decorations we could use, set up all the decorations for us, and even allowed us to rent additional conference rooms for our rehearsal dinner. They took care of everything from our hotel block to the ceremony and reception, and John and Chae made the entire process so easy that I had nothing to stress about on the day of the wedding. I cannot recommend Swan Lake Resort enough for any couple planning their special day.

My wedding experience at the Blackstone was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we stepped into the venue to the final farewell, every detail was flawlessly executed. We worked with Carly, the event coordinator throughout the months leading up to the wedding date. She was talented and unbelievably dedicated to making the wedding everything we imagined. From our initial meeting months before the big day to the final moments of the reception, Carly's attention to detail, creativity, and poise made the day truly stress-free. The venue itself was a picturesque backdrop, absolutely stunning. Guests jaws dropped the moment they stepped into the Crystal Ballroom. The hotel itself was elegant as well. The rooms were modern and beautiful. The guests were impressed! The service from the hotel staff was impeccable. Every member of the team demonstrated a genuine commitment to ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of our guests. From the courteous front desk staff to the chefs who crafted a wedding menu was absolutely delicious, the entire team contributed to the overall success of the event. The attention to detail extended to every aspect of the wedding, even the thoughtfully designed table settings. WOW! We recently hosted our daughter’s wedding in the Burnham Ballroom at the JW Marriott on west Adams, and it was a huge success on every level. There may be many hotels in the downtown/River North area that can accommodate 250 for a wedding, but none matched the combination of value, historic beauty, and a dedicated & coordinated team that is so client-focused as the JW Marriott downtown. From our first jaw-dropping peek at the remodeled exquisite Burnham Ballroom (after viewing over 20 other nearby venues), the JW instantly “vaulted” into first place. But first we had to get through the contract negotiating process, and Anita made that stress-free. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, responsive, candid and friendly, and is empowered to make most contract tweaks without constantly having to get approvals from others. The JW also offers a choice of various incentives to make the package even more attractive. And when you consider that nearly everything is included and onsite, the JW is a surprisingly good value over some of the trendy raw spaces. Once the contract was signed, Anita handed off the ongoing coordination to Bridget Kalsch and her team. Bridget is experienced, calming, patient and low-key, keeps track of every detail, has great and practical suggestions, and is uber-responsive to e-mail. Chef Lori was also incredibly amenable to tweaking recipes (in view of our restrictions). We were expecting “wedding food,” but we and our guests were all blown away by the presentation, preparation and portions. From appetizers through to the "Afterglow" of late-night snacks, everything was unique, plentiful, memorable and delicious. Jackie and her team made everything go smoothly on the day-of. We had thrown another wedding in the Loop just 11 months before and the JW team exceeded every expectation. Even our planner said he’d never seen a wedding for 250 people go so smoothly, with no hiccups. We are admittedly a high-maintenance client, and appreciated all of the following. • We had many dietary restrictions/preferences, and specialty elements we wanted included, and they made everything happen. • We needed to accommodate a large number of out-of-towners, and Patricia made the process painless and seamless. • The fourth floor setup, with its multiple breakout rooms and large hospitality suite adjacent to the Ballroom, is extremely convenient and flexible for before, during and after the wedding. • The bridal suite was spacious, gorgeous and flowed through to the adjoining guest room, so the large bridal party had plenty of space to relax and get ready (including hair and makeup) the morning-of; the hospitality suite was a perfect place for the groomsmen to get ready and for an afterparty for the bride & groom’s friends. • The historic lobby and second floor of the hotel provide an elegant backdrop for portraits/photos. • The Encore team, headed by Bob Heise, which handles the AV and the sophisticated lighting options for the Ballroom ceiling, was creative and helpful. • Unlike some high-profile ballrooms in the Chicago area, the Burnham Ballroom, with its arched ceiling, is acoustically perfect. We’re done planning weddings, but we’d strongly and enthusiastically recommend the JW! They went above & beyond in every way.

The Kimpton Gray team was a dream to work with before, during and after our wedding. The sales team were organized and helpful, the catering staff incredibly friendly and professional, the Adler Ballroom and Rooftop Restaurant Boleo are unique and beautiful settings for the event, the food is delicious, and the entire wedding package is generous. The Kimpton Gray hotel is an beautiful, classic yet modern venue in an excellent location right in the Chicago Loop - the location, accommodations and on-site amenities are unmatched. Definitely take photos in the beautiful LaSalle staircase and Volume 39 cocktail lounge.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for Bobby and all the staff there. It was a phenomenal night! The food and service was amazing, we had a cocktail area near the bar plus the private dining room, which was perfect. The guests were so engaged, and there were so many compliments about the food and the service. There were a few dietary restrictions and guests were able to be accommodated so easily! It was an incredible experience, and I cannot recommend them enough for food and for private events!!!

I will always remember Park Hyatt so fondly because they truly gave us our Best Day Ever :) My initial experience was Park Hyatt was a little bit bittersweet due to being handed over through multiple coordinators without any good real communication on who to reach out to (a lot of very sudden turn over occurred throughout our long planning period). That was difficult to deal with because it was re-inventing the wheel multiple times and a lot of re-communicating things that had already been discussed. However, once Vanessa stepped into the picture in Sept 2022, I immediately felt SO much relief. She was so sweet, so organized, such a great communicator, and really did everything she could to make our day the best day ever - and she and her team absolutely delivered. I will sincerely miss getting to interact with her, because she was just that awesome!!! Park Hyatt as a whole did a great job, too. For the sake of transparency, I will say the billing department was a little difficult to get through to at one time made some kind of odd billing mistakes that seemed to stem from lack of communication. It was kind of hard to tell because I was getting the information second hand rather than talking to the billing person directly. That was really the only thing that I'd say was difficult to deal with. But I could always, ALWAYS rely on Vanessa to take care of the issue and in a punctual time period. And prices were great per person for an elevated Chicago wedding experience. Another nice thing is they bundled everything together (food/bev/service/taxes) into one per person price, so you know exactly what you're getting. I can't recommend Vanessa and her team highly enough. I'd relive it all over again if I could!

Everyone says “Something will go wrong on your wedding day.” They don’t know the magic of the Morris Estate. It’s impossible to describe how perfect our wedding day was, not only for me and my husband, but also our wedding party and our families. Everyone involved got to spend the long weekend relaxing, having fun, and celebrating at this beautiful property without any worry of getting assigned random tasks or cleanup duties— the Morris Estate staff was ON IT every step of the way. At the helm was Ryan Bergstrom, our coordinator, who made the incredibly complicated task of planning a wedding feel easy. As an artist, I wanted every element to be unique and intentional, and was quite frankly worried that the Estate wouldn’t be amenable to a more avant-garde event. I approached them with the idea of hanging a large tapestry painting in the chapel and they got right to work with how they could make that happen. There were no requests that went unheard, and it was clear Ryan was a fantastic collaborator and coordinator in all aspects of planning. Plus, anything or anyone that you need, they have a great recommendation on deck— we found this to be true when seeking an officiant for our ceremony as well as a florist. Trudi and Cherry Road Homestead knocked the florals out of the park. The actual wedding ceremony couldn’t have gone more smoothly, with a comprehensive rehearsal in the chapel and the changing rooms in the basement, everyone was able to get ready on time and relax leading up to the ceremony. With about 100 people in it, the chapel felt intimate but gave guests plenty of room to breathe. It was a short, beautiful ceremony that was tailored exactly to our needs as a couple. Yet another fabulous aspect of working with the Morris Estate was the ease of transition throughout events. Cocktails were in guests’ hands before I could even finish bustling my dress. We never felt rushed, yet everything managed to happen on time. Ryan did a great job taking the time beforehand to meet any vendors not directly from the Estate, so everyone knew exactly what they needed to do their part. The reception was unbelievable. I’ve planned other events, designed movie sets and installation art, and was truly blown away by what they accomplished. It was so exciting to see all of the love and hard work that went into making our vision come to life and see the excitement on guests’ faces when they walked into the tent. It was colorful, magical and totally surreal. Now, to talk about the food. With the estate catering both the rehearsal dinner and reception we got to try just about everything on the menu. We were very pleasantly surprised at our tasting before the wedding. The Estate Manager Nate, Chef Tom and their team had tons of options for us that were as beautiful as they were delicious. Arguably, the most difficult part of working with the Morris Estate was having to pick just a few of the options for our customized menu because they were all. so. good. Our guests had so many kind words about how fun and joyous the entire evening was, and instead of worrying who was going to help clean up at the end of the night, the Morris Estate had it fully covered. Everything was organized back into boxes for us to take home the next morning. I’m sure I’m forgetting so many other wonderful things that the staff did for us, but we will forever be grateful for such an incredible long weekend full of love and celebration. TLDR: Everything was perfect.

We absolutely loved getting married at Loft Lucia on Saturday, July 27th! We had our ceremony and reception on-site inside and our cocktail hour upstairs on the rooftop for 70 guests. The space is incredible and is gorgeous in both the daylight, with tons of natural light, and at night (the lighting was perfect with just candles)! Rebecca and the Loft Lucia team made the entire process easy, and were very responsive and always extremely helpful. We are so happy with our decision and could not recommend Loft Lucia more! Aloft is such an amazing venue! It gives a vibe as soon as you walk in the front doors, and it pervades throughout the building. Located in DTSB, it's hard to find a more accommodating place to have an event.

The Gillespie Conference & Special Event Center was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we inquired, Allison and the team were quick to respond and extremely polite in all of our interactions. The space itself is absolutely beautiful and elegant, with a spacious and open layout that was perfect for our guest list. We felt welcomed and accommodated throughout the entire planning process, as the staff was consistently helpful and attentive to our needs. Allison in particular went above and beyond to ensure our special day was everything we dreamed of. We cannot recommend the Gillespie Center highly enough for any couple looking for a stunning, size-inclusive wedding venue with exceptional service.

we used the outside white pavilion as our rehearsal dinner space and welcome drinks and it was perfect! The set up was beautiful, with the harbor outside. The only thing they don't have a speaker or microphone so we had to bring our own & you have to decorate the tables on your own they do not provide any floral or décor. But if you know that upfront they are great to work with & food was good!

My husband and I looked at one place before the Marriott for our wedding, and the second we saw the Marriott and started speaking to the sales manager, we were sold. They were so accommodating from start to finish. Jill, Faby, and the entire team met and exceeded every single one of our expectations. The marriott @ burr ridge is not only an amazing location, our guests loved it, the rooms were nice and updated, affordable pricing, BEAUTIFUL and HUGE ballroom, great food, and I cannot think of one reason not to book here. If you want a stress-free wedding process at a place that you. your future spouse, and all of your guests are going to love, then look no further.
