Crystal Ballroom

Chicago's only street-level ballroom, providing spectacular views of the city lights and downtown landmarks, including the Wrigley Building.

Boasting 19 foot high windows with impressive panorama views. The interior includes 10,000 square feet of contemporary space, decorated in earth tones and modern sculptural glass lighting. The venue holds up to 450 for a seated dinner or 600 for a standing reception and comes complete with a 4,000 square foot reception area leading into Crystal Ballroom.

Grand Ballroom

We call it Grand Ballroom for a reason

The beautiful colors, rich wood and modern furnishings of the Grand Ballroom and adjacent Grand Hall create a contemporary, yet elegant and functional space.     We just had our wedding here this past weekend and it was perfect from start to finish. Erin Wright, our coordinator, made us feel supported the entire year. We didn't even feel like we needed to hire a planner because they assisted with coordinating so much. We did end up hiring Erin as our day-of coordinator, which the Hyatt offers. She ended up being there that day with two other event managers as well. They recently remodeled all guest rooms, as well as the reception area we used, the Crystal Ballroom. The space has floor to ceiling window views of the city that were incredible. We had our ceremony on the adjacent terrace, which they flipped and allowed people on during dancing! It was such a cool feature. We highly recommend to anyone who wants to have their wedding in the heart of downtown Chicago!

    My husband and I had the luxury of hosting our special day at Hyatt Regency Chicago. We knew it would be a seamless day with Rebecca Stern at the helm. She provided innovative ideas, solutions to areas of opportunity, and always provided a listening ear with any inquiry that arose. The Hotel Staff was prompt with any onsite request(s), and made our Guests feel welcomed from the point of arrival until post-Wedding Brunch. We utilized the onsite Outlet restaurant(s) for various social gatherings, and felt the Team was well prepared for our Wedding weekend. For out-of-town Guests, or suburban locals, their location alone allows for scenic exploring and easy transportation from Ceremony to Reception location(s). We hosted a post-Wedding Brunch onsite, and it capped off a wonderful weekend. We highly recommend Hyatt Regency Chicago for your special day!

    We had incredible experience at Hyatt Regency Chicago for our wedding day. As a nervous bride, you can't help but ask a million questions and worry about the small details - they made sure we were at ease and answered all of our questions with grace. We didn't have to worry about one thing - they did it all! Our wedding reception turned out to be the sort of stuff dreams are made of. An incredible team to work with, a gorgeous venue, hotel rooms steps away from our event for a no-worry & guaranteed great time. What more could you ask for. I can't recommend this hotel or its staff enough!!
