The team at the Garden City Hotel was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first spoke with them, they were easy to communicate with and very responsive to all of our questions and requests. The space itself was absolutely stunning - the ballroom was beautifully decorated and the outdoor gardens provided a lovely backdrop for our photos. But what really made the day special was the outstanding service we received. The bridal attendant, Nang, was with me from the moment I put on my dress until the very end of the night, ensuring I had everything I needed and helping to make the day run smoothly. The events directors, Paul, Merril, and Jose, were also incredibly helpful, working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. We and all of our guests had an absolutely wonderful experience, and we can't thank the Garden City Hotel team enough for helping to make our special day so memorable.

I would highly recommend The Village Club at Lake Success to anyone! Our wedding was absolutely amazing. Barry & Amy were such an incredible team to work with. Barry will answer your questions very quickly and is so helpful throughout the entire process! Amy is great the day of the wedding to make sure the bride has everything she needs and that everything is running smoothly. They are so wonderful. They will work through any last minute issues with you! For example, we decided to move the ceremony from outside to inside because of the weather (pretty last minute) and Barry was very accommodating with his staff to make the move very seamless. He even put the Chuppah inside the ballroom to make the room even more special and beautiful than I ever could have imagined! The food is also AMAZING - we got so many compliments on the food from our friends and family. The ballroom is just a beautiful room and with the view of the lake, it's really an amazing venue. We cannot recommend Barry & Amy enough and this venue, and would tell everyone to get married here!

Our wedding turned out to be incredibly beautiful, thanks to a unique venue and execution by its staff. However, that perfect day was almost derailed by the unacceptable pressure campaign to change ceremony locations due to concerns over furniture getting wet. We wanted this review to capture our nearly 20 months of planning with the TWA Hotel. PLANNING PROS: -Variety of spaces -Responsiveness -Flexibility for storing supplies CONS: -No FAQ document -Frustrating room block system -Forgotten menu tasting notification -Lack of communication and contradictory info from the Paris Cafe for rehearsal dinner THE WEDDING PROS: -Organized and accommodating staff -The food, especially the pastrami station and red velvet cake for dessert CONS: -Wrong display with typo on Solaris board in the Sunken Lounge -Our tiered wedding cake wasn’t cut and served even tho there clearly wasn’t enough sheet cake to pass around -The weather “policy”: We were told that we could make a final decision on an outdoor ceremony up until the morning of our wedding, and our point of contact reassured us of this during our final walkthru 2 weeks out. Our contract also secured the Sunken Lounge as the backup option if we chose to move indoors. However, in the final days and hours before our wedding, we were pressured to move our ceremony indoors, despite nearly all weather reports showing clear skies for our 5-6pm ceremony and rain only after 9pm. Our point of contact started questioning our outdoor plans 4-5 days before the wedding, and even met with us multiple times - first in the lobby while we were dropping off supplies 2 days before our wedding, again when we were checking in the next day, and yet again when we were at the pool before our rehearsal dinner, where we had to brush off our guests in order to have a serious meeting. Each time, they told us we needed to make a "final call" now, not the morning-of as we had been told before. After listing their reasons to move the ceremony indoors (which included threatening to release the Sunken Lounge from our backup option, despite what our contract said), the point of contact mentioned that the head manager was concerned about the rain damaging the leather chairs, and then proposed a “solution” of having the ceremony outside, but not setting up any chairs so that our guests would stand for the entire ceremony. It was clear to us that the real reason why we were being pressured was that the manager didn’t want their leather chairs to get wet! We asserted that, unless we were explicitly told we couldn't have our ceremony outside, we would stick with the outdoor option. The morning of our wedding, our day-of coordinator informed us that the venue was insisting they now had a “50% chance of rain policy”, giving them the “right” to change ceremony locations. We immediately forwarded reports from 10 weather sites that all had a chance of rain between 5-7pm at 0-30%. We finally saw chairs being set up outside in the mid-afternoon, and when our ceremony got underway, the clouds parted ways and the sun started shining. CONCLUSION: The TWA Hotel is such a special place to celebrate your wedding! Before you sign the contract, however, understand that you’ll have to stay on top of the planning process, and in cases like ours, fight for what you envision. Make sure the contract spells out any and all promises — there were items that we made sure they honored as it was clear the hotel’s policies had changed since the signing.

The venue itself is big, spacious and simply beautiful. The staff was very attentive and patient throughout the entire event, making sure everything flowed smoothly. When I got a bit frustrated, they even held my hand to reassure me! Everyone we worked with was polite, nice and professional. The venue was absolutely breathtaking and all the staff were so attentive. Communication was always on point - they always called back within a reasonable timeframe and answered all our questions. My wedding party ran late with getting ready which delayed so many things, but the Maître d’, Phil, made sure everything ran smoothly once we got to Westbury. He offered solutions for the timing of each portion of the reception and what I expected to be a stressful day ended up being the best day ever. And our bridal attendant, Dilcia, was so nice! She made sure I was fed and hydrated, that I changed my dress, and just her presence was enough to keep me calm. I cannot thank them enough for making this day one of the best of my life so far. They were a blessing to have.

I cannot speak highly enough of Rebecca, Yvan and everyone at My Kitchen. My husband and I had our long overdue wedding celebration here on Saturday and it was absolutely a dream. Rebecca is an all star and was amazing from start to finish. The communication and attention to detail was 10/10 and I felt super safe in her hands. My husband and I just got married at Terrace on the Park on 2/17/24 in the Penthouse. The venue is absolutely stunning. We had looked at plenty of venues before selecting this one. From the start, Mildred was so helpful. Answering any questions we had and making sure all of our expectations were met and exceeded. The finalist manager, Nicole, was also amazing. Both her & Mildred were there on our wedding day to make sure everything went as planned. The chapel was set up beautifully for our ceremony, and the cocktail hour in the garden suite was amazing (from what we heard). The venue itself provides breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding landmarks, such as the world’s fair globe, citifield, Arthur Ashe stadium, and others. I wish I could go back to the beginning and plan it again with the same people!

I cannot say enough good things about this venue. Their space is beautiful and their food is incredible. But the underrated asset to this venue is how organized and accommodating they were. The weeks leading up to my wedding they were so organized in letting me know what I still needed and helped me in any way possible. I'm still speechless about how incredible they were the day of. They coordinated absolutely everything and were constantly making sure the groom and I were having a good time and wrapped up so much food for us, they truly went above and beyond. It is always such a pleasure to work in Carroll Hall's space as a photographer. There is so much ambiance built into the venue both inside and out, and it is very unique blend of architecture/vibes that I don't come across elsewhere. The wooden/concrete/ceramic interiors plus the garden outside are a dream, and once you add in a crowd of celebrating guests the story starts to tell itself. Highly recommend as a unique and "chill" venue! The staff is also exceptionally awesome and goes above and beyond to ensure our wedding day will be stress free.

We had our wedding at El Caribe on 08/26/2023 and our wedding day was perfect! My wife legitimately cried when she entered the Tiara ballroom. It was the only time she cried the entire day... she didn’t even shed a tear at the church lol. It well more than exceeded our expectations. Cocktail hour was incredible! My wife and I didn’t attend cocktail hour but we were able to see some photos from our guests and it was unbelievable! Cocktail hour included a lobster wall, an oyster shucking station, fresh mozzarella being made fresh in front of your eyes… it was incredible. We wish we had attended our cocktail hour just to view everything in person but we knew that we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy any of the food if we did (as we would have been approached by everyone trying to talk to us and wish us congratulations). Instead we enjoyed all the food being served at the cocktail hour in a separate private room. The staff and service was incredible! Alan was super attentive. He made sure that we stayed hydrated and were able to actually enjoy the food from our cocktail hour and dinner. During our private cocktail hour, Alan dressed my wife in a white tablecloth (so she didn’t spill anything on her dress) and was attending to our every needs. One of my groomsmen’s wives joined us in our private room (she was pregnant and we welcomed her to join us so she could be comfortable) and she commented how awesome and attentive the staff was and how the staff at her venue practically forgot about her wedding (we didn’t ask for her to elaborate lol). Similarly Ashley (the bridal attendant) and George were awesome as well! The MOH was struggling to bustle my wife’s dress and Ashley just took over and bustled it up quickly! I would highly suggest El Caribe for your wedding venue! After attending my wedding my cousin (who experienced El Caribe for the first time at my wedding) booked his wedding at El Caribe shortly afterwards. Also, your cake from Aliotta Pastry Shop is included when you book with El Caribe and the cake was phenomenal.

Where do I begin? I had my wedding during COVID, which wasn't easy on anyone. But, still deciding to get married, having it at Premier718, was the best decision we made. Everything went off without a hitch. Jeanette took all the pressure off my back. I gave her my ideas and she bought each one to life. I didn't see anything right until I walked in after the ceremony and when I tell you I was completely in love! The venue is modern, clean, and spacious. Words can't express how grateful and appreciative of the service I received. She took care of the decor, the cake, the food and the alcohol, and I was not disappointed. P.S Can I also mention she did all of this for me in a matter of like 10 days. Which I don't think anyone should do. haha. What I'm trying to say is that I definitely recommend Premier718!!

The rose room is such a unique venue in LIC that offers incredible views of the city!! However, the liberty to transform the venue into any type of space is what I loved most - its a gorgeous blank canvas that lends itself to any theme. Erica has been so great to work with - unfortunately the wedding planning process can be filled with roadblocks and hurdles but the rose room has by far been the least complicated vendor to work with!

If you have visited the Foundry, you know how amazing and beautiful it is, but what you don’t know before you work with them is how responsive and helpful they are once you have committed to them. We had about 130 guests and used the main room for the ceremony, the greenhouse room and space outside for the cocktail hour, the courtyard for the reception dinner, the main room again for the dancing, and the greenhouse room again for the after party (11 to midnight). We also rented the Du Val suite for getting ready, and it was a superb space for the groom’s party and extended family to get ready and hang out and also has the most beautiful garden with city views. Our wedding was absolutely amazing and vindicated our immediate love for the Foundry that we developed the first time we toured it, and the Foundry staff are extremely helpful and kind.

We are so grateful to Church of the Ascension for allowing us to have our wedding ceremony and our reception. When we first saw the place, we fell in love. The space is absolutely beautiful with many amenities. Our goal was to have an intimate wedding with a luncheon to follow and everything turned out perfect. Our family was star struck over the beauty of the church itself and we couldn’t have picked a better place. There is so much potential in this space in terms of decoration (in which minimal is required). The church itself does have things available if you need them such as chairs, tables and some decorative glasses. We used the chairs available at the venue to maintain the aesthetic and they even provided some glasses when a few of ours broke! Overall this experience was a 10/10 and I would choose church of ascension again and again if I had a choice. The place is beautiful, affordable, everyone is extremely hospitable and they want the best for you. Lauren was helpful from the very beginning. She answered all our questions and checked in throughout the planning process to see if we needed any help. She was always available and had no problem communicating/working with our caterer, florist, and photographer. She has such a sweet soul and truly wants you to have the best. Last month we hosted our 125 person wedding at the Wythe Hotel in our local Brooklyn. We could not have asked for a more beautiful city venue or a more helpful team. Our sales director JD and our event coordinator Cassie are such pros-- both veterans of the NYC wedding industry-- and they helped make the day a real breeze. At the Wythe you really get what you pay for. We had a Saturday "off-season" wedding so the F&B minimums were high but easily met with our guest count. Our 395 a head included a premium open bar, multiple signature cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres, a market station, a plated family style meal, coffee service, a wedding cake, all hospitality staff, coat check, A/V team, and hotel discounts. If we hadn't wanted to add extra florals and decor, the space truly would've been gorgeous bare. The Wythe team helped us manage the rest of our vendors and recommended some if we needed. We stayed onsite in one of their giant suites, which was perfect for getting ready and for first look photos. Cannot recommend this vendor enough!!
