We’ve been with Nain Photography since 2020. The quality has been consistent and working with Natalie has been nothing short of amazing! She has photographed some of our most important life events. Most recently on 11/2/2024 my husband and I had the pleasure of working with Pedro for our wedding. His work is stunning!! So patient, kind and the communication was on point. We received sneak peaks a couple days after the wedding and were blown away. Thank you Natalie and Pedro for all your incredible work all these years!

Hi, I’m Isaac. In my world, light is everything. The cool ambient hues at dawn, hinting at what the day may bring. Golden sun rays catching particles through a tree as friends gathers to celebrate. A Cotton candy sunset peppered by patio string-lights as a DJ plays my favorite song. We all have timeless memories logged in our minds. For me, they are based in a language of light. As a wedding photographer, this deep connection to special lighting helps me produce dynamic visual stories of romance, personality and beauty.

Awarded Best of Zola
Isaac did a wonderful job photographing our backyard wedding. He did a brilliant job capturing my visions as well as brought ideas of his own. We are very grateful we were able to book Isaac for our wedding, he truly immortalized the day and we have so many beautiful photos to reflect on for the rest of our lives.

Weddings by Katherine Marchand

5.0

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Alamo, CA

I'm Katherine, a wedding photographer based in Oakland, CA. With over a decade of experience and features in Vogue, Brides, The New York Times, and more, I know how to create wedding photos that don’t just look stunning — they feel like you. No trendy filters, no forced poses, just authentic moments that reflect who you are. I believe the best moments aren’t staged. They unfold naturally, in the quiet glances, the belly laughs, and those unspoken connections shared with your loved ones. My goal is to capture those raw, in-between moments that truly make your wedding day yours!

Awarded Best of Zola
Katherine helped us capture our civil ceremony at SF City Hall and we couldn't have been luckier to find her! She is incredibly fun, professional, organized, and delivered everything exactly as she described. A few things we especially appreciated was that since we had a full destination wedding planned a couple months later, she was very mindful of our budget and worked with us to still get what we were wanting for the civil ceremony. She also created a fantastic guide to SF City Hall Weddings that she sent early and to help get us prepared. And she's very thorough and communicative; she responds to emails promptly and if there was even a slight delay in delivering anything she told us immediately. And of course the photos turned out beautifully! Overall, we just loved her energy. Since she set up a video call before our date to get to know us and what we were looking for, it was like meeting an old friend when the day came. She was so easy to work with and we felt immediately comfortable with her. I can only imagine what a joy she is to have for a full wedding! We highly recommend working with Katherine!

I’m so excited for your special day! This is not just another transaction to me - I’m here to support you every step of the way. You want to have a Star Wars themed wedding? I’m here for it! You wanna elope in the Dolomites in Italy? I’ll all in! I want you to have the best experience and I’m here to empower you to do what feels most like you, because I care about you.

Awarded Best of Zola
We recently asked Joyce to be our photographer for our wedding at the San Francisco City Hall and we loved her. She was very friendly and provided great guidance on where to take photos and how to pose. Joyce was gracious and courteous and was always willing to work with any requests that we had, but we didn't have many since we were already happy with the direction that Joyce was giving us. We received the photos a couple months later and they turned out much better than we expected! Joyce really captured the best moments and the overall euphoric atmosphere of the day! We really could not be happier with how the photos came out and look forward to another opportunity working with Joyce again. Thank you so much!

In the off chance you're booking at a Northern CA Wedgewood venue, I have hundreds of hours of experience at each of their venues and work very closely with the everyone of the staff at Wedgewood.

My wedding was in May and the weather surprised us by dumping buckets of rain during the ceremony. Thomas was so helpful with all of his direction and suggestions for the ceremony. He was able to keep his cool and roll with the punches on our very crazy day. Our Photos are absolutely stunning! I honestly can't say enough good things about him. He took so many photos and his editing is wonderful. He also did our engagement photos all the way in Yosemite. He not only drove 3 hours one way for the engagement shoot but also drove an obscene amount of hours for our wedding. He put in so much work and I can't thank him enough.

My wife, Meredith, and I had the immense pleasure of working with EJ & Sarah Stavick for our wedding this year, and we cannot recommend Stavick Studios enough! From the very first interaction, EJ & Sarah's communication was exceptional. They made us feel comfortable and confident every step of the way, ensuring that every detail was covered and that our vision was understood. Their organizational skills were impeccable, leaving us stress-free and able to enjoy our big day. On the wedding day, their team was phenomenal. They were everywhere, capturing every special moment, yet they were so discreet that we barely noticed their presence. Their creativity and attention to detail were evident in every shot. The candid moments especially, were some of our favorites. When we received the teaser film and the photos, Meredith and I were left speechless. The quality and artistry of their work are beyond words. Every shot, every frame was beautifully, bringing out the emotions and joy of the day in a way that we will cherish forever. Their passion and dedication were clear in every aspect, from the carefully planned photo setups to the spontaneous video moments they were able to capture. EJ & Sarah are not just talented professionals; they are wonderful people who genuinely care about making your wedding day as special as it can be. We have recommended their services to everyone we know who is looking to capture their special day. They are a dream team, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you, EJ & Sarah, for your amazing work. You made our memories last a lifetime.

Hannah Berglund Photography

5.0

I'm Hannah, a full time wedding and portrait photographer in Livermore, California. To me, photography is so much more than just hiring another vendor. And that's why you should choose someone you truly love to work with! I believe the real magic happens during the in-between moments – a secret smile shared by the parents; a tearful hug with the maid of honor; a quirky moment with the best man. These memories are far more precious than any staged photo, and these are the memories I want to capture for you on your big day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Picking a wedding photographer is likely the most challenging vendor, many of your wedding memories are in their hands. My husband and I Zoom-interviewed countless photographers and we immediately cancelled every other interview / photographer hold after getting off our call with Hannah. Even over video, we felt like old friends. Throughout the wedding preparation process, we met and took photos with Hannah to get to know each other in person. We had a great time hanging out, making jokes, and all the while, getting outstanding "engagement" photos (we had already sent out a save-the-date). Hannah was also an expert at wrangling our pup, who loved to sniff and ignore the camera. Leading up to our wedding, she shared really helpful tools, which assisted us in outlining our wedding day and advising other vendors. Hannah checked in on us and regularly met with us over Zoom to make sure we were all on track. Unlike some of our other prep calls, we really looked forward to our prep sessions with Hannah. The day of our wedding, Hannah went out of her way to make it a success. When our florist insisted on delivering flowers later, Hannah picked up an extra bouquet to photograph with our details. She has an impressive wedding industry history, so she actually knew one of our vendors already and despite meeting the rest of the first time, she seamlessly flowed with all of them. She immediatley went to work with our wedding coordinator, but also adding to the camraderie and fun of "getting ready". She even advised and dealt with our very challenging videographer, who consistently got in her way. I can't imagine having anyone else so intimately involved with our wedding day as Hannah. I was looking forward to 1:1 moments with my husband the most, and Hannah made sure to prioritize those moments for us, capturing every ounce of excitement and bliss. Those moments are my most treasured of the day, and I actually really enjoyed having her there for them, because she is such a special person (and now friend)! She knows exactly how to handle anything thrown at her on wedding day. I can't recommend Hannah enough for your wedding experience. If you're looking for a truly special memory of your day, you will not only come out with hundreds of incredible photos, but you'll leave with a great new friend.

I am an elopement and wedding photographer based in Northern California, who shoots for the fun quirky weirdos who are unabashedly themselves. I capture the perfection that you are while having a laugh and (almost assuredly) crying along while you read your vows. My name is Katelyn and I want to meet you!

Awarded Best of Zola
We are beyond thrilled with our entire experience with Katelyn! From our first call, we knew she was the right choice for our wedding photographer. Katelyn was extremely professional but very easy to talk with and made the entire process very clear. She was available leading up to the day and helped us map out our timeline. The day itself was perfect. She made us feel comfortable and was flexible, while ensuring all of our key picture wants were met. She did location scouting beforehand and took us to multiple perfect locations to capture our venue (and us). The photos are beautiful and better than we could have hoped for! She turned them around quickly and her site is very easy to use. We could not recommend her enough and hope to use her for any future life events!

I’m Cherlyn (rhymes with Berlin). So nice to e-meet you! If we met in person and it wasn’t during a pandemic- I would probably hug you! I’m an introvert-extrovert and tend to ramble too much when I get nervous. In emails - I tend to use exclamation points a lot!! (and will agonize over my drafts of emails before sending them because they probably have one too many!!) My aim as your photographer is to provide a memorable experience where you two feel comfortable, taken care of, and get to fully enjoy your wedding day as much as possible with all your guests & loved ones - whether they be in real life or via livestream!

Awarded Best of Zola
Cherlyn was a dream photographer for my small Santa Clara wedding held at the newly renovated chapel at the clerk-recorder's office. She had experience photographing there before, which was a major reason why I picked her to document my special day, in addition to her documentary-style photography which suited my shy spouse. I wanted someone who would be able to take formal photographs in addition to candids for the courthouse wedding and Chinese dinner to follow, and she more than understood the assignment. She took the time to scope out scenic areas near the office and even stayed for the dinner afterwards. She was a wonderful conversationalist and helped everyone feel at ease. I really treasure all the moments she was able to capture for us.

My name is Connie and I have been shooting weddings and portraits for over 15years. The goal for me is to give my client an heirloom of their wedding day to pass down to generations to come. As a young kid, I remember staring at my parents black and white wedding photos for a long time. It captivated me. I am very lucky to have those memories and that is what I want for my clients. I love capturing beautiful imagery through posing, beautiful light and when there isn't light, I like to create it. I can be a goof ball capturing the unexpected filled laughter. Come look at my work, and hopefully we can connect.

Connie was so awesome to work with! Leading up to the wedding she was easy to communicate with and always responded to my emails quickly. When my wedding day rolled around she was at the venue on time and got to work. She was patient with everything going on, she had an assistant as well that was great! I told Connie that I was worried about taking pictures because I never considered myself photogenic, she told me not to worry. She did a great job! The pictures turned out beautiful! I love them! Now the hard part is choosing which ones to print.

I recently worked with Kathy for an engagement photoshoot at SF City Hall. She was incredibly flexible when we arrived late, which we really appreciated. She took the time to capture a wide variety of shots around the area, and her friendly demeanor made the experience enjoyable. She also provided helpful directions during the shoot, making it a fun outing overall. Thank you for your hard work! (Added my favorite photo. I like the motion of it which is quite apt given we were dancing, and the lighting is romantically moody.)

We are so happy we chose Warm Heart Photography (Diep) for both our engagement and wedding day photos. For our engagement shoot, she was incredibly friendly, responsive, and was very accommodating--even bringing a quick-change tent! She made sure to capture every shot we wanted from our shot list, and the photos turned out absolutely stunning and ethereal (exactly like we had envisioned). On our wedding day, Warm Heart Photography was equally amazing. Despite the hectic environment, Diep and her second shooter came prepared, was professional and adapted seamlessly to the ever changing environment. They worked hard to get every shot on our list, and the photos turned out beautiful and candid. (There were so many nice shots, that it was hard to choose our favorites!) They did such an amazing job with capturing everything on the day. We didn't have time to soak in everything around us, but with the photos, we were able to relive the day! Diep has a great work ethic and we wouldn't hesitate to refer her to our friends and family. We're so grateful for her talent, dedication, and kindness throughout the entire process. Welcome. "I BELIEVE...connection matters. Photos tell our story and carry our legacy. Melanin matters on camera. Every human deserves to be seen. 8 out of 10 humans say they feel awkward in front of the camera; Laughter is the antidote." It is my loud passion to capture the personality of relationship...within couples, families, communities, and even organizations. And I have been this way since I was a kid. With my hot pink camera in tow, 8-year old me would capture the loud joy of my BIG extended family. Little did I know...they were my training ground in photography. And I am happy to say that my approach to photography hasn't changed.

My fiancé and I are both very shy people, we do horribly in front of the camera, but literally from the moment we met Brandi for our engagement photoshoot she was amazing! Brandi is very good at what she does, truly a visionary! She was able to make us warm up - on a very cold San Francisco morning - she made us laugh, she is so great at telling us what poses we needed to do for our photos to come out great. Our engagement photos came out way better than we expected. We even have a confidence boost after seeing them. We cannot wait until our wedding day. We just know she will surprise us once again with her talent! Do not hesitate to book Brandi as your photographer! You will not regret one second!

I’m a photographer based in San Francisco, California. Pero, I travel anywhere in the world for destination weddings and elopements. Besides my passion for photography, I’m an avid traveler and have a love for food! So, let’s get to know each other more and tell me your love story! I’m up for some good ramen and delicious ube desserts.

I was born and raised in the East Bay Area (minus my years at Chico State!). I have been married to my wife for 13 years and am a proud girl-dad to my 11-year-old daughter. My real love of photography began in 8th grade when I took my first photography class. That first moment in the dark room when I saw my first photos come to life was magical and from that moment I was hooked. To this day, I experience that same magic as I capture special moments and create lasting images for my clients – it is that magic, my love of people and sharing in their joy that fuels my creativity and passion for my work.

Jeff Roush Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the beginning, Jeff's communication style was articulate, professional, inclusive, responsive, and clear, putting us at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of his work was captivating, polished, clear/crisp, balanced, and vibrant - the photos truly captured the entire story of our special day in stunning detail. Jeff was with us from start to finish, making our wedding day much more enjoyable with his optimistic and welcoming presence, even during some stressful moments beyond his control. We received so many compliments on the photos, and Jeff delivered them to us much faster than expected. We consider Jeff a friend after that day and can't wait to work with him again in the future. We highly recommend Jeff Roush Photography to any couple looking for an incredible wedding photographer!

With a candid style and two decades of professional photography experience, my passion is capturing real moments and creating photos that tell your story. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, I am proud to work in the diverse communities here, and welcome the diversity of my clients who are looking to both honor past family traditions as well as create some of their own. My approach to wedding photography is simple; the day of the wedding is about two people coming together to celebrate their marriage with their loved ones, and photos are about connection and trust. My goal is to have your photographs remind you of how you felt that day.

Sonya was truly a pleasure to work with and we are extremely glad we went with her over all the other photographers out there. We were first interested in her when we saw her online portfolio and liked her style. Afterwards, we met her in-person to ask questions and go over the whole process. Sonya was extremely pleasant to talk to with her warm and professional demeanor. She answered all our questions and went over the contract with us in great detail. After deciding to go with her, Sonya reached out to set an engagement shoot date. The engagement shoot went smoothly and Sonya never rushed us or seemed in a rush. Even when we went over the designated hours set for us, she stayed until we finished going throughout the entire place we went to. Of course the photos all turned out great and we even used a few inside the wedding as features. On the day of the wedding, Sonya showed up exactly on time with her assistant photographer. She is very professional, personable, and wonderful to work with! In between our ceremony and reception, we were able to do a 20-min photoshoot. Sonya knew immediately which shots to take and the photoshoot went very, very smoothly. She has amazing attention to detail and she knows exactly what she is doing. After we received the photos back from her, we loved her work and had so many amazing photos to choose from! Overall, we give our highest recommendation to Sonya! Additionally, she replies very quickly to inquiries and when we were planning the wedding. It was great to have quick communication. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Sonya!!!
