About this venue

Just outside of downtown Tampa sits The Orlo, a private social club housed within the historic Spafford House and ballroom. Orlo J. Spafford, the president of the Tampa National Bank, built the Orlo in 1896 to share with his son and his family. In 1922 the Orlo was sold to the Tampa Women’s Club where the addition of a ballroom was made to host formal parties and extravagant dances. This historical ballroom still stands today and is ready to host your next party or extravaganza. Some of our favorite features are our gorgeous bridal suite on the second floor. It has so much natural lighting (a photographers dream) and large enough for you and your bridal party to get ready on your wedding morning! The Orlo has been restored and still has the original wood floors, chandeliers, and grand staircase. It is the perfect blank slate for your wedding or event!

This space has 2 floors. On the first floor there are 3 large rooms perfect for an intimate but spacious event. The grand staircase is the perfect focal point for candles and florals and a grand entrance. On the second floor we have a gorgeous bridal suite for the bride to get ready with lots of windows and natural lighting.

This ballroom is the perfect space to create your wedding or event vision! With original hard wood floors, chandeliers, and large windows with natural light you will fall in love! Our ballroom also has a large stage that is perfect for a band or dj.

    We used The Orlo House for our wedding in June 2022. Everything was organized, coordinated, and easy, from the initial communication and scheduling a visit, to understanding the particulars and what was and wasn't included and options, to having everything lined up and working with our other vendors the day of. We couldn't have been happier with the selection and the people at The Orlo we dealt with. Working with one of Orlo's preferred caterers definitely helped. Thank you!!!
