The Patrick F. Taylor Library

The Patrick F. Taylor Library was designed by Henry Hobson Richardson and opened on Mardi Gras Day in 1889. It remains the only building in the South by this important American architect and Louisiana native. The large, open floor-plan features towering, vaulted ceilings adorned with individually carved, unique “Hounds of Knowledge.” With a capacity of up to 300 guests, this landmark is ideal for the host seeking a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

Stephen Goldring Hall

Stephen Goldring Hall reflects the distinctive architecture of the city’s Warehouse District. It showcases changing exhibitions and the Museum’s permanent collection of 18th, 19th and 20th-century works. This modern, five-story structure features a glass facade, a “floating” staircase, and intimate galleries surrounded by mezzanine-style balconies which overlook the Grand Hall’s four-story atrium. Goldring Hall can host small gatherings as well as large receptions of up to 700 guests. The rooftop terrace, with exquisite views of the city’s skyline, may also be rented individually for private functions.
