About this venue

Dye House is a boutique hotel and event space offering a unique thoughtfully curated guest experience, designed for a diverse set of occasions and gatherings. We’re a destination for travelers and locals, a neighborhood focal point, space where all kinds of people come together. In addition to our event space, we have five guest rooms full of considered design details, though that’s just one small part of what we do. This is a new kind of hospitality, one that puts our community first. We’re your guides to getting lost in Olneyville’s underground art scene, and we’re your homebase when you’re ready to relax in singular style.

Our event spaces

The Studio - Event Space

Once a dye house and weaving room for American Woolen & the Weybosset Mill Complex, later a ceramics studio for J Schatz, The Studio is our dedicated event space where weddings and celebrations will go long into the night. Framed by twenty-foot gabled ceilings, the original red brick floor and dozens of windows, the atmosphere is one of expansion and intimacy. Everywhere you look there are reminders of the mill’s legacy mixed with rich textiles, unexpected colors and modern rococo design. At the center of the room, the floor turns concave where a series of tunnels once transported wool, and the many windows louvre and pivot to enhance airflow and luminosity. Those windows enabled wool workers to achieve true colors in their dyes, and the resulting sunlight pours in from all sides, creating the ultimate natural lighting.

Just a Girl Events had the pleasure of working here for a small wedding. The venue is amazing! With 3 onsite areas that would be considered suites it is perfect to host your wedding party from the evening before to the day after. The studio space itself is beautiful with gabled ceilings and a beautiful floor with a brick inlay that is of the original design. The outdoor spacing can host a small area for cocktails with great ambiance or just a courtyard to hang out. The staff is great and it really is a hidden gem but one that creates an experience not just a night Charlene DeLuca
