Our event spaces

Walt Disney Theater

Oh look, cupholders.

Certain details stand out right away: copper accents against cherry wood. White sails hanging below a blue “sky.” But there’s more to Walt Disney Theater than meets the eye—and ear. (After all, the acoustics are incredible from all 2,700+ seats.) Here, subtle design elements take you back to the classical outdoor theaters of ancient Greece—where exciting entertainment brought the whole community together. Just like this. From the front row to the balcony, every audience member experiences the best in sight and sound.

It’s hard to miss. And impossible to forget.

Day and night, Orlando’s energy floods through this unusual space—with city life bustling below, sliding glass walls can even open to let the outdoors in. Originally designed as a rehearsal space, DeVos Family Room quickly became a sought-after spot for events. And if you have the chance to stop by, you’ll see why. You may even see Mayor Dyer waving from his balcony. If you are looking to impress your guests, look no further. Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater

Small space. Huge presence.

Before your show even starts, you’ll realize the 294-seat Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater is anything but a typical black box. Start with the ceiling. It’s covered with 32 vibrant abstract pieces specially made by artist Tom McGrath. Then, aluminum balconies glow with tiny white lights. And of course, the acoustics shine, too. All to create a totally unique—and equally thrilling—experience. Imagine hosting your event or performance in our multi-level and multi-purpose theater with amazing acoustics and a colorful ceiling of abstract artwork. It’s an intimate setting with multiple seating and stage configurations. The majority of orchestra level seating can be transformed to a flat floor to accommodate stage performances, cabarets, galas, weddings, dinners, cocktail parties and other special events. You even have access to our dressing rooms for added convenience and peace of mind.

Della Phillips Grand Lobby

Take a moment to take it all in.

Longtime arts lover and musician Della Phillips hosted countless performing artists at the Phillips’ family home. So this inviting space was named in her honor. As soon as you enter, our wave wall makes a powerful first impression, painting the entire lobby in color. It’s “the theater before the theater”—your place to gather, relax and explore.

February 12, 2022 was the wedding of my youngest daughter at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The venue was beautiful when we were choosing a venue, but the night of the wedding it surpassed all our expectations. As it is important to have a great venue, it is just as important to have a team of people to make the whole experience great. We were so fortunate to work with Laura Segal and Kelsie Taylor and their entire Dr. Phillips team. We cannot praise them enough for helping make my daughter's wedding a very magical and beautiful life event that will always be remembered. Everything was just done with class and they accommodated all our wishes. Our guests were blown away with the venue, from entering the building to the sensational rooftop to the magical Devos room. You must have the large windows open as it is just amazing, like nothing we have seen and we were blown away. On the night of the wedding, Laura oversaw everything to ensure all went as planned and it did with flying colors. I also want to note that the server staff were amazing and my guests made many comments praising them for their professionalism and for being so personable. I also want to note that I was a very detailed and involved parent with the planning and wanted the best possible wedding for our children. Laura and Kelsie were patient and very accommodating to our requests and only wanted us to have a great wedding. My wife and I, and the groom's parents were just so happy with how the wedding went and are thankful to all for making it a day to remember, especially for my daughter and her husband.. Again, Many Thanks to all at the Dr. Phillips Center. To all reading this review and recommendation, Do not hesitate to have your special event, wedding or other, at this venue!!
