About this venue

Tivoli Student Union is a historically beautiful and unique building on the Auraria Campus. Built in 1870 by German-born Mortz Sigi, the Tivoli was originally part of the Colorado Brewery. In 1901 is became the Tivoli Union Brewery, named after the famous amusement park in Copenhagen. The Tivoli houses a variety of spaces that can accommodate groups both small and large for business meetings, training sessions, lectures, conferences, and a variety of social gatherings, from intimate celebrations to weddings. With its location being adjacent to downtown, historic appeal, easy accessibility and parking availability, the Auraria Campus is an ideal place to hold an event.

The first time I set foot in the Tivoli Turnhalle at 18, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. Ten years later, I did exactly that, and it’s the best possible decision I could have made. The building was built in the 19th century, so there’s definitely a gilded-age vibe that’s both beautiful and industrial. My husband and his groomsmen loved drinking a beer at the brewery before the ceremony, and I loved having a full bridal suite at the hotel on campus. Everything about this venue was fabulous, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Yes, we just require that the bartending staff hold a certification equivalent to TIPS.

Yes, there are a number of parking options on the Auraria Campus. Guests are responsible for paying the posted, daily parking fee, or you can arrange to include parking charges in your contract.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.

Auraria Campus (indoor) event venues come with an inventory of standard tables and chairs as well as a selection of audio visual equipment at no additional charges. We also include setup, teardown and standard venue cleaning.

Venues can be reserved in 4-hour, 8-hour or 12-hour time blocks to include all setup, teardown and event time.

If a reservation is canceled at any point up to four weeks in advance of the first scheduled event date, the client will surrender the full amount of the non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total room rental. For cancellations made less than four weeks before the first scheduled event date, the client is liable to pay the contracted total in full.

The Auraria Campus is located approximately 25 miles (about a 30 minute drive) from Denver International Airport.
