The Southern Planner is proud to have over a decade of experience in event planning and hospitality management as well as an exemplary track record of ensuring our brides’ wedding dreams come true. We are grateful to be able to serve brides all over the Southeast, and we look forward to the opportunity to serve you!
With extensive experience in event coordination and Catering Sales Management at both Marriott and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, we understand the intricacies of seamless event planning. Our diverse background also includes independently organizing and planning various weddings and events, showcasing our dedication and skills.

Best Day of Coordinator!!!!
I used a Facebook group for Alabama brides to find Shelby with The Southern Planner and I am not exaggerating when I say that Shelby is the most positive feedback I have gotten from my friends and family from our special day. Shelby was on top of EVERYTHING. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing, she had it all taken care of. I would book her a thousand times over again. I now consider Shelby a friend and just need to have another event so I can call her up and have her plan it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Shelby! You helped give us the day of our dreams and we are forever grateful.

The Southern Planner did an amazing job. I had Shelby as my coordinator. She took care of every little detail, so all I had to do on my wedding day was show up and enjoy and the day with the people who mean the most in my life. She was more than willing to finish all last minute set up, take down, and even jumped in to help bartend when needed. Shelby did an amazing job. She conducted her self professionally with all conflict and made decisions on my behalf of the wedding day that reflected what I wanted. Shelby was available every time I wanted to talk or change anything during the planning time, even as much as changing the timeline 4 days before my wedding, then it changing again during my reception. I could not have asked for a better wedding planner and 10/10 recommend Shelby for any and all event planning in the future!
