I’ve worked with a florist, been a second shooter for photographers, placed flowers on a wedding cake, and yep, I’m even ordained! So whether it’s an emergency or just a little unexpected chaos (because weddings love surprises), I’m ready to jump in and save the day! I am the MOB and can't say enough about the work Mattlyn did to help us prepare and execute the perfect wedding for my daughter & son-in-law. We hired Mattlyn at the very beginning of the planning process and she made everything so much easier and stress-free. Her communication was so prompt. She was proactive in the planning process, clear and effective in her method of planning, and always responded to questions and our need for guidance promptly, usually within 24 hours. Mattlyn took time to get to know the couple and their vision and supported us all during the process to achieve that vision. Her advice was perfect. All our vendors were part of the short lists she provided us and they were all exceptional. We were so prepared for the wedding day that there was no stress or nerves. Mattlyn and her assistant/husband organized and ran rehearsal, rehearsal space set up, and on the wedding day, they were so professional and prepared that everything went off without a hitch. At the end of the night, they packed up and organized everything in the dinner space for us to return or take back to our home. We could not have asked for more. Also, we did almost everything over zoom & email and it worked very well. Mattlyn's family moved three hours away from my daughter's area of South Carolina in the middle of our planning process and it was never a problem. I emphatically recommend Mattlyn for all or any part of your wedding planning process without a second thought.

Mattlyn Shelton is absolutely the best decision we made for our wedding! Our wedding was perfect and stress free because of Mattie. Throughout the planning process she was excellent with finding vendors in our price range and she was very good with communicating with us. On the actual wedding day Mattie truly was the reason that we got to relax and enjoy the most important day of our lives. A "wedding planner" is something I definitely recommend when planning a wedding, especially if it's Mattlyn Shelton!

I take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure that every couple receives the attention to detail and personalized service they deserve. This allows me to fully dedicate myself to making your special day a success, without spreading myself too thin. Each wedding is a priority, and I want to ensure I can focus entirely on bringing your vision to life!

The amount of time we spend together will depend on the level of planning and coordination you need. For full planning clients, we’ll have regular check-ins throughout the process, and I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way. For month-of or wedding management packages, we’ll have fewer meetings leading up to the day but will spend plenty of time together during your rehearsal and wedding day to ensure everything goes smoothly. My goal is to make sure you feel supported and confident throughout the entire journey!

Yes, I absolutely plan other events like bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and even post-wedding brunches! I believe every event surrounding your wedding day is important and deserves the same level of attention and care. Whether it’s helping you with an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, I’m here to ensure all the events leading up to your big day are just as memorable and seamless.

While I am the primary planner and the one you’ll be working with throughout the process, I do have a trusted network of vendors and collaborators that I work with to ensure everything runs smoothly. Depending on your package, I may also have assistants on your wedding day to help with coordination and logistics. My goal is to provide a personalized experience, so you’ll always feel supported by my team and me!
