About Ivory & Sage Weddings
Ivory & Sage Weddings
I graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in business management, and throughout college I received certifications in marketing, event management and advertising. I absolutely love my job and all the challenges that come with it, and I feel I’ve been thoroughly prepared for anything that could be thrown my way. I started this company in January of 2020, when I started planning a friend's wedding and realized my passion wasn't just event planning, it was wedding planning. I took the time to train and understand different types of weddings, so that I can make sure my job is done right the first time.
I take pride in making sure that a job is done right the first time, not the second or third. My brides will never have to wonder if something was taken care of, or if they forgot anything on one of the most important days of their lives. If you had to worry about a single thing other than your future husband, I haven’t done my job right.

Brooklyn was our day-of coordinator and did a great job of decorating and working with our vendors that day. However, I would never recommend this company to anyone. Maeghan is the owner and clearly struggles to stay on top of her business. She barely communicated with me leading up to our wedding day. I scheduled a 15-min call with her a few weeks after booking her to figure out what the next steps were. She acted annoyed and basically told me that there was nothing to do until closer to the wedding. She told me that I could schedule my timeline meeting and we could discuss the day-of timeline as well as what decor I wanted to use from her inventory at that time. When that meeting came up, she spent 20 minutes asking me questions that I had already provided her answers to and then refused to discuss decor until 30 days out. I repeatedly sent her emails with INCREDIBLY detailed wedding plans (I've managed events professionally for years), and she clearly never looked at them. According to our contract, we should've had a coordinator at our rehearsal, but we didn't. On our wedding day, Brooklyn did a great job of setting up and decorating our venue. However, we also paid extra for someone else to handle our buffet (it was just charcuterie & pizza, so very easy refilling). We also paid extra for clean-up at the end of the evening. The buffet runner did virtually nothing and then started clearing items from the dining tables while people were still eating cake. This made people feel pressured to leave early, so our reception basically ended right after dinner and cake. Brooklyn was the only one on site to do all of the clean up. Since we're decent people, my family and I weren't going to sit around watching a single pregnant woman clean our entire wedding up, so that service was a complete waste of money. For what we received, we paid WAY too much money. And on top of that, having a busser basically push people out the door before we even opened the dance floor means we wasted a ton of money on drinks and services that weren't used. I honestly feel like Maeghan owes us a full refund for the stress and "damages" caused. I hope Brooklyn can open her own business soon because she seems much more qualified and capable than her boss.
Response from vendor•Jan 22, 2025Sarah, We spoke at length about this after your wedding and this is not a fair assessment at all of what occurred at your wedding. As far as services rendered before your wedding day, you booked a day of coordination package, which you were told (and is listed in your contract) begins at the 6 week mark, which did happen. It also states in your contract that we do NOT guarantee a day before rehearsal for any wedding, and this was also told to you at your timeline meeting because December is one of our busiest months. When you asked for a check in call, you were told when we would begin working, and I answered your questions about what that would entail, because you contacted me in August about a December wedding (5 months before). At that point we were working on October weddings. It’s not fair to our October brides to push them aside because you felt like yours should come first. You were also told we would have 2 meetings, one to go over your timeline and one to go over decor as our inventory is constantly changing and being updated, so we try to have the most updated version possible. Again, all of this was discussed with you. You were also the one who no showed on our design meeting (that you are claiming that I refused to discuss with you), and it had to be rescheduled because you forgot about it. As far as the day of, you hired ONE buffet runner to refill pizza and bus tables, which is what she did. You then tried to accuse her of STEALING after the fact and when I provided several witnesses who refuted this, you backtracked and started attacking my business. You were also offered a refund for the bussing service solely as a gesture, and never provided a way to send it. Your contract clearly stated the services you were being provided, and those services were provided. Brooklyn was asked if she wanted those duties and she agreed, and again, several people confirmed she did these tasks. Your attitude prior to the wedding was extremely rude, and entitled to time that you did not book or pay for. As is this review.UNMATCHED!
Ivory & Sage Weddings was an outstanding choice for our wedding planning. From the very first conversation, Maeghan and her team demonstrated quick, efficient, and knowledgeable communication. On the day of the wedding, they were on time, kept everything running smoothly, and didn't hesitate to jump in whenever we needed something done. Maeghan was absolutely wonderful - she anticipated our every need so that when I asked, it was already taken care of. Her team handled all the set up and breakdown, and we were able to use their beautiful decor so we didn't have to bring or set up anything ourselves. We are thrilled with the exceptional service and value Ivory & Sage Weddings provided, and we would highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding.
