I'm Emily, the Owner and Lead Planner behind the scenes, crafting unforgettable moments. My journey began with a degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Go Rebels! In Las Vegas I worked for a destination management company that taught me so much about the industry. From event management, to florals & signage design, custom builds, how to create transportation manifests, execute dine-arounds, oversee entertainment and so much more! In 2020 I moved to Northern Nevada and fell in love with wedding planning. My passion for wedding planning comes from connecting with couples behind the scenes and bringing their dream day to life.

We focus on creating memories. Spomini! Meaning memories in Slovenia is Inspired by my heritage, we keep this Slovenian word close to our hearts with every event we plan. To us, events are more than just logistics; they're opportunities to craft unforgettable experiences, weaving in moments that resonate long after the last guest has departed. Since 2016, we’ve been planning large-scale events from weddings for Olympic athletes to corporate gatherings for over 40,000 attendees, we’ve seen and planned it all. After years of learning from the best - I am so excited to launch Emily Taft Events in 2024!

    Emily truly made our wedding planning process exciting and as stress free as possible. I can't say enough how much we appreciate her. She went above and beyond throughout the whole process from our first phone call to the clean up the night of our wedding. We were so grateful she came with us to a venue tour; she and Rusty were asking questions we wouldn't have even thought of. Having her there gave us peace of mind and trust that they would have us taken care of throughout the planning and the day of. She worked closely with our venue coordinator and our other venders to make sure every detail was thought out and discussed. I am very much a type A personality and like to have control over planning things, especially when it comes to something as important as our wedding. I had no problem or hesitation letting go and trusting Emily entirely throughout all of the details and day of. She allowed us both to enjoy the planning of and most importantly, the day of our wedding. She and her team did an amazing job with set up and execution of the timeline and details we spend months planning. I can't recommend Emily Taft Events enough for your wedding or event.

    Emily helped us plan the 40th-anniversary party for our family business, and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. From the start, we knew we wanted an event that felt welcoming, fun for our clients, tied to our community, and celebrated the last 40 years of memories and accomplishments both personally and professionally. We brought Emily general ideas, a budget, and a few key things we were passionate about. Throughout the entire process, she ensured we always felt heard and respected in every decision. If one of our ideas wasn't the best fit, she provided thoughtful explanations on why, guiding us toward better alternatives to ensure everything ran smoothly. There are so many decisions to make when planning an event, and it was an incredible relief to have complete confidence in Emily. I knew I could give her the reins and she would exceed our expectations. Her connections with local vendors meant we had an outstanding florist, bar service, live music, food, and custom decorations—all within our budget! Emily’s professionalism and charm were on full display as she helped us greet guests and explained the layout and activities of the event.
