    My husband and I booked Nelstudios for both our engagement photos and our wedding. Nelson was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was knowledgeable and personable. He was more than happy to hear our wishes on specific poses, and he even captured a perfect photo with our fur-babies! Nelson did a wonderful job working around hectic hotel rooms to ensure we received memorable photos from our special day. He also presents with a calm and kind demeanor that truly helps an anxious bride on her wedding day! We received our sneak peek photo’s within just a few days after our wedding and they exceeded our expectations. We will cherish these pictures for the rest of our lives.

    Nelson was our photographer for our wedding and rehearsal dinner and we had a great experience! He was easy to communicate with during the planning stages and great to work with during the events.     Nelson and his team photographed our May wedding in Plattekill, NY and the experience was absolutely extraordinary! They were professional while also personable making the experience very relaxed and natural. Prior to the big day, Nelson was very communicative and helped design a schedule meeting my interests of different shots and perfected the timing. On the day of, Nelson and his team eased right in without a hitch bouncing from one location to the next and corralling us and family seamlessly while staying on time. There wasn't a single moment of concern or stress during photos! Now to gush about the product!! Nelson and his team caught the most PERFECT moments. My husband and I expressed early on that we preferred candid or organic shots and not so much the typical couple poses. And I must say, Nelson got it right! It brought us right back to the day when we were looking through the huge inventory of shots. Brought tears of joy and gratitude. Lets not forget the video!! My GOD!! It was truly an emotionally provoking video and definitely a fan favorite with family. To Nelson and his team, Dave and I couldn't be happier with all your hard work. We will cherish the moments you captured for a lifetime!

    Working with Nelson and his team was a breeze, and we are thrilled with the photos and videos we received. We reached out to Nelstudios after seeing the photos from a friend's wedding, which were beautiful — professional and personal at the same time. I couldn't believe how much they captured, because they were practically invisible during the ceremony and reception, and their stealth allowed them to capture such authentic moments. I'm someone who doesn't usually photograph well, so I had a lot of anxiety about the way that our wedding photos might come out, especially because we were getting married in an unconventional venue (aquarium) that doesn't allow flash photography in much of venue, and we were getting married at night in November. From our first call, Nelson assuaged our concerns and inspired our confidence. He was quick to offer solutions and suggestions and make it work however we wanted. He and his team were super accommodating and helpful on the day of, adapting to the challenges of the day and keeping spirits high so you (almost!) couldn't tell in the photos how stressed some of us were. My husband and I had some anxieties in real-time about the process of shooting "romantics" — those hyper-posed, super-cutesy photos of the couple touching noses in front of a sunset. This is just really not our style as a couple, and I wasn't sure how they would come out or why we would want to have them, so we were astonished when we saw that we had literally a hundred gorgeous photos of us looking natural, beautiful, and very, very, in love (which we are, but I don't think we'd had a single photo capture it well until now!) In addition to the super posed stuff, Nelson and his team also captured some of the most organic and candid moments of the wedding — our officiant shattering a vase at the moment my husband was supposed to shatter the ceremonial glass, a tender moment between me and my mom before we parted ways at the alter, and what we THOUGHT was a sneaky solo snack run to a nearby taco truck just before the ceremony. I hadn't anticipated how important it would be for me to have our vows and all the toasts recorded in their entirety, but they came out great and we were so grateful to have them since it was hard to actually experience anything in real-time at the wedding. The footage of our first dance was also incredible — it came out looking like a movie, and I'm not sure how they were able to do such a great job shooting it with almost no context for what it was going to look like (you'd really think we had blocked it out beforehand!) In the end, we received so many compliments on the photos and videos, and our families and friends were extremely eager to get prints made and post the pictures everywhere. From the photos, you would have no idea we got married in the cafeteria of an aquarium, they came out looking "like a fairytale."
