Photographer

For those playfully and deeply in love! Color and Beam provides artful film and digital hybrid wedding and elopement photography based in Southern California and Texas, available for travel. I’m a storyteller, but the picture book kind. I usually skip the words and pore over the pictures. I geek out over colors, light, and movement, so it makes a lot of sense that photography is where I’ve landed.

I've spent the last three years learning the art of film to be able to feature it on your wedding day. I think film captures color, as well as how a moment feels, in a way no other method can. It's the vinyl record player equivalent of photography. A little grainy, occasionally imperfect, but beautifully authentic and real. Shooting film has taught me to slow down and be conscious of every frame I take.

    I am a wedding florist in Austin and have worked with Haley a few times at different weddings. Every time I get one of Haley's gallery's back my jaw is ON THE FLOOR! She edits in the most beautiful light and airy way and captures all the magical moments from weddings days. She has a great eye for detail and emotion!     Haley shot our engagement photos and wedding ceremony/reception and I can say without question that she transformed already special days into priceless memories. She is a calm, cool, collected presence to work with and put us both at ease while shooting. She captured our wedding expertly and her photos are some of my all-time favorites. By shooting on film and using those colors as a basis, I know that our wedding album will have that timeless quality for the next ten, twenty, and 50 years. She does not chase trends that will end up dating your photos in a few years. You can expect quality and stunning results. Book Haley!

    Haley was the absolute BEST. She took both our engagement photos and wedding photos and she captured our love in ways more beautiful than I could even imagine :) Love that she does a mix of film and digital, her film photos have such a magical, dreamy quality. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera, took the time to get to know our style, and was a great communicator. She was so flexible on the day-of and made sure we got every shot we wanted. She took both amazing portraits and beautiful candids that captured the emotion of our wedding so well I could cry haha. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding, book her ASAP!!!!!!
