City Savvy Imaging

I am Renae, the creator and photographer of City Savvy Imaging. Based in Chicago, I started Weddings in 2009. I have an undergraduate degree in photography and fine art from Illinois State University. I also have a Masters in Elementary Education. Photography has always been my passion. I took my first photography class in high school when dark rooms were still utilized. I continued my education in photography through college where I began photographing in digital as well as film. Fine art was a large part of my studies which plays a major roll in my photography as it enhances my use of color, light, composition and space.

My imagery showcases each couple in a way that features the beauty of the Chicago landscape as much as it does the beauty of the two individuals in love. I strive to include a mixture of styles in my photography. My approach is a combination of documentary, candid and posed approaches. I offer dynamic composing skills that utylizes Chicago’s most iconic locations to frame each couple. I believe that making a shoot unique adds to the value of your photos.
