As the first winery production facilitybuilt after the repeal of prohibition,Merryvale occupies a unique place in thehistory of Napa Valley and California wine history. The iconic building that houses Merryvale Vineyards has long been established as a premier winemaking facility and has provided a winemaking home for such luminaries as Robert and Peter Mondavi, the Christian Brothers, and H. William Harlan. Merryvale's historic cask room is lined with 2,000-gallon oak barrels dating back to 1933.
