He’s high energy, extremely organized and very intuitive. My husband and I had two prep calls with Scott, where he walked through the wedding ceremony process all the way through to the final dance. He had ideas and options for each step of the way, while giving us space to make the final decisions. He practiced name pronunciations with us, made sure he understood the family dynamics (divorced parents), and reassured us we’d have a fun, dance filled night. While some vendor calls can be stressful, his calls always made my husband and I excited and at ease. The day off, he checked in with us a few times on key questions but otherwise he was reading the room about the music being played and what people liked and adjusting to what he saw. We had a lot of songs on the request list so Scott would often mix them together and that kept the energy up and avoided lulls where people get bored. He played all genres and styles and so there were songs for everyone. “We recently hired Press Play Entertainment for a Bnei Mitzvah celebration. Keith and his team were a delight to work with. Keith was very communicative and cooperative in the planning stages and fleshed out a great program for the event. There wasn't a single point during our planning conversations where I felt he was "pushing" services; in fact I felt that he really listened to what I wanted and even discouraged me from purchasing extra services when I inquired about them, which I really appreciated. At the event itself, he and his team were energetic and upbeat and managed to get even the most reluctant guests to participate in the fun and really enjoy themselves. Just like with many events of this kind, we encountered a few small challenges (larger crowd than was expected for the space rented, a few "non-compliant" teens) that Keith and team handled seamlessly and flawlessly. Most importantly, everyone had a great time! Many of the adult guests came up to me after the party to express how impressed they were by Keith and team and said they had never seen another entertainer be so effective and engaging at a party. “My husband and I had some strong opinions about the music that should be played at our wedding - for example, no classic wedding songs or oldies. We asked Graeme to cater to the younger crew at our wedding (70% of our wedding guests were 35 or younger) and he delivered. Once we opened the dance floor I never saw anyone sitting down again for the rest of the night. The tent rental company had told me that the dance floor I wanted to rent was much larger then needed for our weddings size but Graeme was able to keep it full and even over flowing all night long. He knows how to throw a party! In addition we had an outdoor ceremony and even though the wedding wasn't particularity large (98 guests) the space he needed to make music & sound work for was very large and far away from an electrical source. Graeme worked directly with my venue to ensure he had everything he needed to make the day go off without a hitch.”

“Brian is one of the best wedding DJs in the business. In the past two years I’ve been to eight different weddings. Brian was the DJ for three of the eight, and the party/reception component of the events was never more fun than when Brian was driving the bus. He is an east coast DJ, but he spun tracks at both of my sister-in-laws’ weddings and as we were searching for a DJ for our own wedding we reached out just to see what he would charge for a wedding in Chicago. Turns out the price was right. Brian traveled to Chicago, MC’d our entire wedding, brought all of the equipment necessary and made our day exceptional in every way. I think there are a few things that really set Brian apart from other wedding DJs. Anyone can stand there and run through a playlist, but Brian went off book a few times to match and capture the energy of the guests. As we were in the midst of the planning process he added zero stress, and just calmly walked us through the process of selecting songs. He had suggestions and recommendations along the way. He even brought an extra speaker so that we could plug our digital piano in and the pianist would be able to play loudly enough. Overall, we can’t recommend Brian highly enough. You will not regret choosing him to DJ at your wedding, party, event. Whatever it is, Brian is a huge value add and a pleasure to work with.”

“We could rave about DJ Thrilla all day long, but in the words of our wedding guests: “Best dance floor we’ve seen in a long time!” It’s been weeks since our wedding and our guests can’t stop talking about how great the music was. Arthur did a great job with the ceremony and cocktail hour, and managed a tricky parent dance section (multiple sets of parents & timing!) We requested a Taylor Swift mashup and he exceeded expectations and made it the highlight of our night. The dance floor was always packed, and Arthur did a great job of taking into account our requests while playing music everyone would enjoy. We opted to use uplighting as well, which looked beautiful during dinner (we chose a warm lighting) and was so fun for the dance floor with flashing lights. By the end of the night, he even had guests asking him to travel to Texas to DJ their wedding! Booking DJ Thrilla was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding and we could not recommend him more!”

So kind, clear in his communication, and passionate about helping us get the experience we wanted. We were planning a few unconventional things, and he was excited about helping us make it all happen. Music/Dancing was a big deal for me when planning, and he took the time to understand me, my partner, and our guests. On the day of our party, he was the perfect professional, and (again) so kind. Several guests (and our photographer) went out of their way to find me and comment on how good he was in some way—how well mic'ed the ceremony was, how fun the dancing was all night, how creative the cocktail music was, and how cool some of his special touches were. One guest asked me for his contact info, for her friend's upcoming wedding. “We booked Collins Entertainment for our October wedding at the Interlaken Inn in Lakeville, CT. We had an unbelievably amazing experience with this company from the top to the bottom. Our DJ, Jared, was exceptional with music selection, a master emcee, was accommodating and seemed to be everywhere at once. My guests left saying he was the best DJ they've ever seen at a wedding for how many hits he put out. He was able to read the crowd really well, and knew how to get everyone on the dance floor. Jared had battery-powered setups for both the ceremony and reception, so we didn't have to worry about outlets in a remote area outdoors, which was very nice. Our planning sessions with Jim, Mitch, and Jared were comprehensive and they gave us all the tools we needed to succeed. The package price was very reasonable too, and was a leading factor for why we chose them as well. We used their mirror photo booth as well, which was very fun. The mirror booth even came with a long red carpet! The operator, Randall, was very accommodating and helpful with guests, making it fun and easy for everyone. We highly recommend Collins Entertainment!”
