Weddings by Katherine Marchand

  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Watsonville, CA

I'm Katherine, a wedding photographer based in Oakland, CA. With over a decade of experience and features in Vogue, Brides, The New York Times, and more, I know how to create wedding photos that don’t just look stunning — they feel like you. No trendy filters, no forced poses, just authentic moments that reflect who you are. I believe the best moments aren’t staged. They unfold naturally, in the quiet glances, the belly laughs, and those unspoken connections shared with your loved ones. My goal is to capture those raw, in-between moments that truly make your wedding day yours!

Katherine helped us capture our civil ceremony at SF City Hall and we couldn't have been luckier to find her! She is incredibly fun, professional, organized, and delivered everything exactly as she described. A few things we especially appreciated was that since we had a full destination wedding planned a couple months later, she was very mindful of our budget and worked with us to still get what we were wanting for the civil ceremony. She also created a fantastic guide to SF City Hall Weddings that she sent early and to help get us prepared. And she's very thorough and communicative; she responds to emails promptly and if there was even a slight delay in delivering anything she told us immediately. And of course the photos turned out beautifully! Overall, we just loved her energy. Since she set up a video call before our date to get to know us and what we were looking for, it was like meeting an old friend when the day came. She was so easy to work with and we felt immediately comfortable with her. I can only imagine what a joy she is to have for a full wedding! We highly recommend working with Katherine!

Hi, I’m Isaac. In my world, light is everything. The cool ambient hues at dawn, hinting at what the day may bring. Golden sun rays catching particles through a tree as friends gathers to celebrate. A Cotton candy sunset peppered by patio string-lights as a DJ plays my favorite song. We all have timeless memories logged in our minds. For me, they are based in a language of light. As a wedding photographer, this deep connection to special lighting helps me produce dynamic visual stories of romance, personality and beauty.

Awarded Best of Zola
We loved Isaac and his wife, Jing, who photographed our wedding earlier this month. Isaac was super calm and collected and on top of everything. His photography style was perfect for us. He already delivered about half of our retouched photos a week after the wedding which was insane and I love every single one. He was flexible with the 5 flower girls we had in and out of pictures and the multiple areas on our venue property. Overall an amazing experience and I recommend his work to anyone and everyone looking. He was very considerate when I first reached out about his work and wanted to use him and was very mindful of his travel fees to fit in our budget.

Hello! We are a husband and wife company. We have covered over 1000 weddings in less than 5 years all across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. We love to travel so much that we keep our prices affordable- giving us the opportunity to cover all over the USA (no travel fees). Our most popular package is our Red Carpet which gives our clients up to 10 hours of photo and video coverage, 505+ edits, and 2 wedding videos (with the whole ceremony). Check out our FB or Youtube for HUNDREDS of weddings we shot in the past.

We were so impressed by 505 media and their quick responses and quality of photo/video they took! From the initial phases of planning, they were quick to respond and eager to help in the planning process of making sure timelines were manageable. They were able to capture all of the milestones during the day and were even willing to hop on our party bus when we wanted footage of the wedding party driving around! We were so impressed by how quick the photos were delivered! We received a text while on our honeymoon the week after our wedding that our edited photos were done and one week later we received all our pictures! You don’t hear that often from photography companies! We also watched our wedding video trailer today (which was delivered in less than 2 months from our wedding) and can’t stop watching it! I would recommend 505 media to anyone!!

Ashley Guice Creative is a Phoenix-based luxury wedding photographer with a passion for capturing the beauty of human connection. Since 2017, Ashley Guice has been creating stunning images that blend artistic flair with genuine emotion. With over seven years of experience in photography and a decade-long background in the arts, she brings a unique perspective to every event she covers.

We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Ashley! From start to finish, she was an absolute joy to work with. Her attention to detail and creativity truly brought our vision to life, capturing every moment beautifully. We had an unfortunate cancellation of our original venue, and with our new venue having a completely different look, Ashley was a great thought partner in scouting locations and helping us achieve the look and feel in our photos that we were going for. Despite the challenges of a venue change and the usual wedding planning craziness, Ashley remained positive, resourceful, and was also just down right fun to work with! Ashley is a true artist, dedicated to the artful execution of every detail. Nothing felt cookie-cutter or ordinary—she took the time to understand our vision and how we wanted to remember the day and then actualized it through her artistic lens. I wanted something artful, chic, and elevated but also real, candid, and documentary-style—and Ashley delivered exactly that. She was also fantastic at understanding how we wanted to be photographed throughout the day. More than anything, she made sure our enjoyment of the day was a priority over just "getting the perfect shot," which was crucial for us. We were able to enjoy every moment, and the photos capture that perfectly. Her team was amazing, too! We got to work with two of her assistant photographers, and they were just as supportive and friendly as Ashley. We would recommend AGC to any couple looking for a photography team who is dedicated to capturing the essence of your wedding in a way that feels unique, personal, and meaningful. - L & L

Our big day at the 3 West Club in Manhattan was beautifully captured by her. From the get-go, Daria made us feel comfortable and relaxed, which showed in the natural shots she got. The photos are like something out of a fancy magazine – seriously, they're stunning! Daria has this way of playing with light that made every moment magical. Candid photos? She's a pro. And the way she highlighted us and the venue – just perfect. She even scouted around the venue and found these amazing spots for photos that we hadn't even noticed. And the best part? Six years of taking bright, colorful, fun wedding photos in the city has taught me how to deliver a complete gallery of your day told in an artistic, meaningful, and unobtrusive way--because I'm here to document your day, not to direct it. As much as I love taking photos (it's truly my favorite thing in the world!), I believe your wedding is about celebrating all your people being in the same place at the same time + kicking back and enjoying while I make sure all those memories are on camera.

Awarded Best of Zola
Alana and I connected over Instagram shortly after Nick and I got engaged. Over the course of a year, I fell more in love with her shot style, her colors, and just about everything she posted. She and I messaged, liked, and commented so it was nice having as much of a connection as people can have through Instagram before booking. When we decided to book she helped so much with ideas for outfits, time of day, and locations to shoot as well!! When we scheduled our engagement shoot, it worked perfectly to where she could come to our location while she was in Cinci. Day of the shoot, anything that could have gone wrong, went wrong BUT Alana handled everything with such flexibility and ease. We were able to get shots before and after the torrential downpour that forced us to change locations and WE ARE IN LOVE with the photos. I seriously can’t say enough amazing things about her. She makes us even more excited for our wedding just through looking at our engagement photos and the photos she shares on her blog/website/Instagram. Long story short: book her. She’s your girl for all things wedding ❤️❤️

Eli Holmes Photo + Film

2.0

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $5,500

Film brought art back to photography — having control over the film stock, using particular cameras for different reasons, doing double exposures with film blindly, souping film and customizing the development process to the wedding, and so much more. And through film, I embrace the imperfections of weddings — following along with your flow of the day and natural interactions of your friends and family. Capturing your wedding story as it happens is always the priority and focus.

We were going to go with an off island photographer when we came across Eli and their work. Their knowledge of the island, how the wind blows differently on different sides of our venue, how the light hits perfectly on this side of the venue and we can still get an ocean view — that they care about the power lines and know how to avoid cars in the back of ceremony images. The list just went on and on and on. Working with Eli was like working with a walking encyclopedia of Block Island. And when you're getting married on the island, it's such an asset. Eli helped walk us through other on island vendors, best spots for our engagement sessions, different hotels that might suite certain guests better than others, an amazing casual rehearsal dinner/welcome party idea that was flawless, and I just couldn't be happier. When we got the images though, I didn't know what to say. Eli had captured so much of our story, we felt the same jitters getting ready to walk down the aisle looking through images of moments we didn't. get to experience on our wedding day (we were a little busy, getting married, and you just can't witness everything). Eli was so great with our friends and family, able to choral a few of my drunk groomsmen, while simultaneously making my antsy family members just super at ease and happy. I couldn't be happier in working with Eli and can't wait to see them in future years when we visit.

Adrianna was excellent at directing everyone so we could get all our photos done and stay on schedule. Adrianna worked very closely with us to make sure we got all our needs met for ordering thank you notes, framed photos, and creating our wedding album. Amber’s ability to capture the honest, meaningful and organic emotions of the day makes her one of the most sought after wedding photographers. She has spent years crafting a unique one of a kind experience for her clients with a combination of digital and film images. Her signature photography style is best described as chic, timeless and natural. Amber made me feel so beautiful and confident on my wedding day. Taking pictures with her felt so natural, just like she was there to really capture the day rather than us constantly posing, which I really appreciate. I was absolutely stunned when we got our gallery back. The care that Amber puts into composing the perfect image speaks for itself when you see the final product. There was no detail missing and i’m so glad we have these to look back on for the rest of our lives. I recommend Amber to all my newly engaged friends because the experience is unparalleled - she is the best!

Meet with your Photographer. "The most important thing for me is to create a feeling with my bride and groom, in order to have the best approach on the D-day, and to respect a professionalism, a dress-code, or a planning while keeping the pleasure of capturing these unique moments for my clients."

Oleg and his team are THE MOST talented video/photo team I have every met and worked with. A lot of trust goes into finding someone that can capture your day for a lifetime of memories and we are BEYOND THRILLED to have chosen ZayaEvent. We met with Oleg for the first time and he was so detailed and excited about what he does. It made us excited to work with him! We sent inspo on what we wanted for our engagement shoot and shared what our vision was for our wedding. He captured it all perfectly! We chose to do our engagement shoot at The Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. Oleg was on time and made the experience so much fun. I am very camera shy but he made us both feel very comfortable and captured candid moments of us purely having fun. On our wedding day, Oleg and his team arrived and conquered it all! They were a joy to work with and soooo organized. They created a 1-min movie-quality video for us the next day and returned some photos as a sneak-peek. I CANNOT WAIT to see everything else he captured from our special day! I would work with Oleg and his team over and over again!

Hello My name is Andris Dzeguze I am a creative eye behind Dzen Documentary. I discovered my passion for photography in my grandfather's darkroom, and it has been an integral part of my identity. The ability to freeze moments in time and craft visual stories with light has captivated me for a long time. In my portfolio, you'll uncover what sets me apart: Showcased in publications such as Vanity Fair and Wall Street Journal Magazine. Featured photographer at NYC Fashion Week. Serving as a brand ambassador for a renowned camera brand. Engaged in impactful documentary art projects. Capturing the essence of weddings across the United States.

As a seasoned wedding photographer myself, I have had the privilege of working alongside Andris for the past three years. It has not just been a professional collaboration, he is a master in storytelling, artistry, and connecting with everyone he touches. Andris always arrives early for our weddings/events, meticulously setting up and ensuring that all details are perfect before the first click of the shutter. He has a very calm demeanor and is always a beacon of stability, even in the most unpredictable situations. Working with him has always been a joy. But Andris's talent goes far beyond punctuality and professionalism. He has an uncanny ability to find the extraordinary in the ordinary, transforming any moments into memorable snapshots of the client's special day. His artistic vision is unique, and he uses light (both natural and artificial), composition, and emotion to weave narratives that resonate deeply with our clients. Besides the technical know-how Andris possesses, he has a gift for connecting with people, which is a critical trait to have as a wedding photographer. His infectious smile and genuine warmth melt away any inhibitions, bringing out the smiles and genuine emotions that make videos and photographs truly come alive. He has a way of making everyone feel at ease, even the most camera-shy individuals. In short, working with Andris isn't just about capturing images, it is about capturing the essence of a moment, a feeling, a connection. His videos and photographs are not just visual records, they are portals to emotions, transporting you back to the laughter, the tears, the joy that made the day so special. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Andris to anyone seeking not just a skilled videographer or photographer, but an artist, a collaborator, and a friend. If you're looking for stunning visuals, infectious laughter, and a stress-free experience that will leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime, look no further.

I believe that love inspires art. Your wedding day will most likely be a blur of joy, nerves, and excitement with some extraordinary moments in between. Using both film and digital mediums, I balance a combination of both editorial and photojournalistic styles with a fine art approach. This collaboration will allow you both to fully enjoy each and every moment, as we tell the story of your wedding day. Wedding photography is an investment that lasts a lifetime, it’s the part of your wedding day that lives on. This is your love story, told in a classic, authentic, and timeless way.

Not enough positive things can be said about this lady - she is just phenomenal. She made the whole day so smooth & really listened to what my Fiancé and I were looking for in our photos. She gave us suggestions & just made us feel so comfortable. She is also like the ultimate hype girl - she made me feel so beautiful all day! She just goes above and beyond in every aspect of her job - she really prioritizes her couples. She made sure to ask in advance about what photos were important to us, what group shots we wanted, and what we wanted our timeline to look like. She arrived early, she left late, and ran on all cylinders the entire day. Oh and our engagement photos were beautiful & made us both so comfortable with her on our wedding day. I can’t say enough good things & I believe I found both a friend & photographer for life!

We have over 1000 weddings behind our belt and countless moments of happiness.

My wife and I loved our experience with "The I Do Wedding Photography and Videography". The people were so kind and excited for us which made our experience that much more special. Alyssa Morgan Photography

June of 2012. Just two months after my mom was critically injured and hospitalized. I began using my camera as an emotional outlet. I started taking portraits for family and friends, and eventually, photographed a courthouse wedding. As time went on, it hit me: These photos are freaking important! And I knew from personal experience that these moments, & the people in them, aren't going to be here forever. That camera became so much more than an outlet. It gave me purpose. And now I see my job as an act of service to you. I'm honored to use my talents and skills to deliver what really matters: TANGIBLE MEMORIES OF YOU & THE ONES YOU LOVE

I truly do not even know where to begin regarding my experience with Alyssa and her team at Alyssa Morgan Photography. Over the past 2 years planning our wedding, Alyssa became much more than a vendor; she became a friend and trusted wedding planning confidante. From the moment I met her on my first wedding planning scouting trip (we live in NJ and had a destination wedding in Islamorada), I KNEW she was the photographer for us. Her photos clearly speak for themselves (I mean come ON, they are like something out of a magazine), but her personality (awesome), knowledge of the area (she is a Keys native, which is SO important when having a destination wedding in my opinion – you need someone familiar with the lighting, the locations, etc.), and her overall expertise in the industry (she even coaches other photographers!) truly make her worth every penny. This girl is worth her weight in GOLD and MORE. Alyssa photographed our engagement shoot almost 2 years ago, which helped us to get to know each other more. She knew how to make my then-fiancé laugh and even SMILE in front of the camera (which is not his favorite place to be) and make us look like supermodels in the process. We have her shots of us hanging all over our home because they are too beautiful not to show off. Despite COVID, missing out on our additional wedding planning trips due to the pandemic, and the overall unknown that was our wedding over the past year (we were worried we would have to postpone, cancel, etc.), she was virtually by our side every step of the way. Keeping us filled in on the state of the Keys, helping us troubleshoot obstacles, and keeping me calm in the process. When it came to our wedding, obviously as a bride it is a very overwhelming and nerve wracking day, but when Alyssa and her team of Kat (2nd shooter) and Kurt (videographer – we never even wanted a videographer until Kurt jointed her team and I saw his work and I am SO glad we decided to do it!!!), I instantly felt better. She worked with me and our planner before the wedding to put together a detailed outline of the day, photography timeline, important shot list, and she even helped me pull off a surprise first look for my fiancé with his best man dressed in a wedding dress to calm his nerves too! The day went off seamlessly, she coordinated us, our family, friends, bridal party, extended family to make sure every shot we wanted was taken. We got our sneak peeks back within days and my *husband* and I spent the remainder of our minimoon entranced by them! I always told Alyssa that photography was THE MOST important aspect of my wedding (I am a huge picture person) – and we COULD NOT BE HAPPIER that we chose her to shoot the most important day of our lives. We WILL be returning to the Keys and look forward to Alyssa shooting things like our anniversaries, pregnancy photos, and family photos in the years to come. **In summary, if I can just drive home just one point: IF YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED IN THE KEYS AND NOT USING ALYSSA FOR PHOTOGRAPHY: YOU. ARE. DOING. IT. WRONG!**

When you elope in the middle of a pandemic, it matters all the more that you love your photographer--since they'll be the only other person at your wedding. :) And in short, we couldn't be happier that ours was Shawnee. She has such a gift and a love for the work she does—and it shows. We knew she was the right person from the moment we met on Zoom--she is warm and kind, asked all the right questions, and instantly put us at ease. My partner and I eloped at the end of October 2020 in DC, just before the election. It was a whirlwind moment for so many reasons, especially as a queer couple. And it mattered to us that the person who captured those treasured memories, really understood what that moment meant to us. Everyone who sees our photos marvels at how wonderful they are—and no doubt we look great, but Shawnee’s warmth and direction and stellar eye really made all the difference. Vibing with your photographer matters—we’re so grateful to have found one with such grace and as much love for her art as Shawnee. <3

We hired Virginie at the recommendation of our wedding planners at Matthew Robbins Design. Working with Virginie was an absolute dream - we first met a few months before our wedding, where we explained our vision, what we hoped for in terms of photography, and how the day would run. She stayed with us for hours, talking through ideas, showing us ideas and inspiration. We walked away so grateful to be working with her. Flash forward a few months to our wedding day, and I was so thrilled to see Virginie's face as I was getting ready. She is such a beam of energy, support and goodness - exactly what you want on your wedding day! She creative directed us so that we felt relaxed and happy, but knew that we were getting beautiful images. She captured EVERY. BEAUTIFUL. DETAIL of our wedding day - from the beautiful first look, to images with our family and friends, our ceremony and then those crazy/fun/wild dance floor pictures. We are over a year out from our wedding and still find ourselves poring over our wedding photos at least once a week. They are such a beautiful reminder of the amazing, special day we had, and it would not have been possible without Virginie. We were SO lucky to work with her and recommend her without hesitation. She is so talented and just a wonderful, wonderful human. We can't wait to work with her again!
