I'm Jessica! After planning my own wedding, I fell in love with all things wedding & design and began my journey as a wedding coordinator. I am the owner and lead designer at Songbird Floral Studio. A native New Yorker that has been "Southerized" (so I have been told!) I studied interior design while living in NY. But then...I met this sailor that brought me to Virginia. I was fortunate to find a job in floral designs. Almost 15 years later and I am still loving it! I love to take classes and always improve what I can do for our clients. Coming up with designs for weddings is truly what I love to do. I feel so blessed to love what I do and to be a part of our couples wedding day. I have a wonderful husband and two grown children that are always supportive and helpful.

Brin’s Posy is named after my beloved dog. She passed away unexpectedly a few years ago, leaving myself and her pup sister (Abby) to figure out life without her. We were months of grieving her loss when a close friend insisted I channel the grief energy into something positive. A bell went off in my head as my current job as a florist in a far away town was coming to an end. Brin’s Posy helped me come to terms with the loss. I still have Abby (the shop girl) in the shop daily and occasionally out to our farm venues! We love to source local and work with community members.
