Leo Ballroom

4.5

Omaha, NE
  • Up to 350 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $5,000

An enchanting piece of Omaha history recently restored to its original 1924 prestige. The historic ballroom features stunning craftsmanship, glamourous chandeliers, and a seemingly unattainable atmosphere. This venue can host corporate and social events up to 350 guests and 500 cocktail style. Join us for an experience with our fully functioning stage, cocktail area, alluring foyer, and photo-ready balconies.

The Leo Ballroom was a beautiful venue for our wedding reception and provided a memorable setting for our special day. Overall, we were very pleased with our choice, though there were a few areas for improvement. Overall Impression: The Leo Ballroom is absolutely gorgeous. The updates to the main ballroom have elevated its elegance, and the speak-easy style bar with its rich wood details adds a classic touch. Initially, we weren’t considering this venue, but after seeing it in person, we were captivated and decided to book immediately. Size and Layout: The size and layout were well-suited to our needs. We had over 280 guests, and the space comfortably accommodated up to about 320. The layout worked well, with a separate bar room that allowed guests to move freely while still feeling connected to the main reception area. The temporary setup of buffet tables in the bar room for dinner was also effective. Decor and Ambiance: We appreciated the venue's ambiance, from the luxurious marble entryways to the electronically locked bridal party suites, which offered privacy and security. The venue was very clean, and there were numerous excellent spots for photos. Service and Staff: The staff were generally professional and helpful. Access to the venue the day before for setup was a significant advantage. Our wedding coordinator, Dahlia, did a good job overall, though we encountered a few minor issues, including some confusion about the champagne wall, issues with signature drink ingredients, and some discrepancies with the floor plan and guest counts. While these were resolved, it required additional effort. Catering and Facilities: We chose Attitude on Food, one of the venue’s preferred caterers, and the food was delicious and served hot. The facilities supported a smooth dining experience, though there was room for improvement in terms of overall coordination. Standout Features: The stage was ideal for our band, the Downtown Collective, and the private bridal party suites were a fantastic feature. Designing our signature cocktails—a blackberry-infused bourbon mule and a strawberry twist on a French 75—added a personal touch, and the bar kept them flowing throughout the night. Overall Experience: The Leo Ballroom provided a stunning backdrop for our wedding reception with its elegant design and accommodating facilities. Despite some minor issues and room for improvement, the venue's charm and functionality made our day special. We recommend the Leo Ballroom for anyone seeking an elegant and versatile venue for their event. Thank you to the Leo Ballroom team for contributing to our unforgettable wedding day!
