Hello there! I am a wedding and event musician based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have over 25 years of playing and performing experience, and received classical training from Dr. Irene Peery-Fox for many years. I create modern piano/vocal covers of popular songs, as well as my own original songs, and I enjoy contributing a variety of genres and styles to weddings and events. I would love to create a custom setlist and ambience for your special event.

I am all about making sure you’re 100% satisfied. I bring the music and all the equipment necessary to have the best wedding or rehearsal dinner or bachelorette party or engagement party. I like to DJ the music that’ll bring a crowd together and get them dancing. I do accept song requests and I always have my notebook ready for the guest to write down what they want to hear. Merinda Starnes has performed as a solo, orchestra, and ensemble musician since 2007. She received her degree in harp performance from the University of Utah studying under Dr. Cathy Clayton. During her college career, she performed with the University of Utah and University of Arizona’s Wind Ensemble and Philharmonic as their principal harpist. ​Her solo performing career started at the age of 9, which has included performances at local city creative art concerts, church and religious meetings, as well as weddings, business and corporate events.
