Stissing House is one of the oldest taverns in America, located at the crossroads of the village of Pine Plains in the heart of Dutchess County. It’s 90 minutes from New York City, and 30 minutes south of Hudson. It has hosted feasts for generations. Downstairs, intimate dining rooms and fireside lounges are ideal for parties of 8-10 people. Upstairs, the oldest Dutch Colonial ballroom in America is designed for long-table dinners and weddings of 25-150 people. Gather your friends and family for pitchers of shandy and wood fired eggs the day before or morning after your party. Chef/Proprietor Clare de Boer cooks food that is generous and has a sense of place. Ingredients come from surrounding farms and are prepared simply on the tavern’s mammoth hearth. The eggs are laid today, the butter is homemade, and the food is for feasting.

We have two banquet rooms. The larger of the two, the Berkshire room, has a capacity of 100-350 (minimum of 150 on a Saturday and 100 on any other day of the week). The smaller of the two, the Westfield room, has a capacity of 50-150 people (minimum of 100 people on a Saturday and 50 any other day of the week). We also have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space with the option to host an inside ceremony as well.

Our packages are designed to leave you happy and satisfied, but if anything needs to be altered to better suit your vision, our coordinator will be available to you, as a trusted resource you can rely on. Hawks Landing CC is located in the lush central CT river valley in Southington. Because of our location we are an easy ride no matter where you are coming from within the state. The Bella Vista banquet facility is host to more than 50 weddings a year. Several on site wedding ceremonies are featured in the gallery section on this website. The Bella Vista is a glass faced facade overlooking our sprawling golf course. The cathedral, wooden ceiling room can entertain up to 220 guests. Our spacious bridal suite is located the Fairway Room and is a favorite place for many of our brides. We can even accommodate your "First Look" on the private patio. We can serve an elegant Chicken Milanese, Freshly carved Prime Rib, a Mahi Mahi fish delicacy or Twin Stuffed Lobster tails. You're sure to find something on our menu that will make you smile.
