My name is Rachel and I am the lead floral designer of Velvet Blooms. After studying music with an emphasis in vocals, I began to rethink what my creative path would be. With mentors such as Laura Williams of Poppy Hill Flowers and good friend Kelsea Olivia Gaynor of East Olivia, I began my journey into floral design and never looked back!

You could say the idea to start my own business fell into my lap, but it also came from a long-time love and passion for flowers and really any living plant. In 2016 when a friend approached me and asked if I would be interested in doing the flowers for her wedding. I said yes and that is when it all began to snowball, in the best way possible!
