Share the beauty of nature with your guests and create lasting memories at the most scenic venue in Southwest Michigan! Fernwood Botanical Garden offers 105 acres of manicured gardens, nature preserve, arboretum and native prairie. You and your guests will be immersed in the enchanting serenity of the gardens upon arrival and have free admission to explore the expansive grounds. Photo opportunities are endless! Attentive customer service will help make yours a happy and care-free day, including an indoor plan in case of rain!

Fernwood really is a hidden gem. The grounds are beautiful and their rates very affordable! They were very responsive to my many questions, and very helpful on the day of our wedding. They even let us use an extra classroom for the groomsmen to get ready in. They were also really flexible. You can’t really go wrong here, and the garden itself can be your decor! We also left one item behind by accident which we were able to pick up a few days later. Lots of “areas” to choose from for your day, too. Only complaint was the poison Ivy growing along some of the pathways, which were already fairly narrow. We just used alternate paths and it was no big deal!

MillCreek Wilde " for lovers of Nature "

Watervliet, MI
  • Up to 280 guests

  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

MillCreek Wilde sits deep in the countryside of Southwest Michigan just 1.5 hours from Chicago and 2 hours from Detroit. It's a perfect central location for your out of town guests. As you approach MillCreek you are surrounded by rolling fields, fragrant orchard blossoms, fruiting trees and beautiful working farms which sets the stage for your day. In fact, Millcreek Wilde is noted for offering one of the most private and secluded wedding day experiences.

My husband nor I are from Michigan (from the Chicagoland area) and everyone kept asking us "why Michigan?" The moment they walked in, they felt the same feeling I did when I first toured the venue. It is beautiful, unique, personal and was everything and more that I could have hoped for. Our wedding as at the end of June and we were very fortunate that the rain held off and the temperature/humidity ended up being perfect. We had about 185 guests attend the wedding and I think everyone was too stunned by the venue to even care about the drizzle of rain that was happening. Not to mention, Amelia and her staff are absolutely amazing from the very beginning to the very end.
