Blue Dahlia Wooden Florals, LLC

5.0

  • Serves Saco, ME

My business started when I was planning my own wedding. I love flowers, but we couldn't justify spending hundreds or thousands on real flowers to throw them away in a week when we also found out we were expecting our first child at the same time. In came wood flowers! After much practice, I discovered I have an eye for colors and floral design and now 4 years and MANY weddings and THOUSANDS of home decor pieces later, this is not only my passion but it is also my full time business. No side hustle here! You will have my undivided attention. I'll make sure your floral dreams come to life in wood and the best part, they LAST FOREVER!

Awarded Best of Zola
Katie was an absolute pleasure to work with. I decided I wanted wood flowers for my wedding, and when searching for a local artist, I gravitated toward Katie's designs. I found a local bridal show so I could see her work in person, and I made the decision to work with her as soon as I saw her table of flowers from across the room! It was a one-stop-shop! She did it all: my bridal bouquet, Bridesmaid & Jr. Bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and flowers for our wedding cake. The planning process went well. She was able to take a swatch of my bridesmaid's dresses, and matched the color perfectly. She took some suggestions on the types of flowers I wanted to include in my wedding package and then used her creative genius to create stunning bouquets. They came out EXACTLY as I had envisioned! Our guests who knew I wanted wood flowers were shocked that they were so soft and realistic looking. The airbrushed roses on our cake looked so real! The little details like the pearl bracelets on the corsages, and the satin wrapped stems on the bridesmaid bouquets made everything look elegant and polished. I highly recommend Blue Dahlia Designs if you are thinking about using wood flowers in your wedding. I planned my wedding during the pandemic, and we had many challenges. Katie was so wonderful to work with and I am so happy with my flowers. I am STILL enjoying them, and we just celebrated our first anniversary.

Nectar & Vessel

At Nectar & Vessel our ethos is sustainability + bliss-forward designs. We specialize in arrangements that are full of texture, unique and lush. We crave the weirdo flowers, the heirloom varieties and mixing in contrasting natural elements. We don't try to be on-trend, rather we are intuitive with the flower and our clients and let the flower speak to us.

Working with Naomi and her team at Nectar & Vessel was truly an incredible experience. Aside from the marriage itself and celebrating with our loved ones, the floral design was the part of wedding-planning I was most excited about, so finding the right team to make it all happen was really important to me. From our first meeting, it was obvious how warm, talented, creative, professional, and enthusiastic Naomi is - she is so passionate and knowledgeable about what she does, and it really shows in her work. Naomi and her team went above and beyond to distill all of my ideas and wishes into a final cohesive vision that was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! Everything Naomi and her team created was stunningly executed - from the bouquets, boutonnieres, and the gorgeous chuppah at our ceremony, to the lush arrangements, centerpieces, and hanging greenery at the cocktail hour and reception, to the magical floral clouds that hung over our dance floor. Many guests told me that these were the most beautiful floral designs that they had seen at any wedding they’ve ever been to - I’m still receiving compliments about them months later. We especially appreciated Naomi’s attention to detail (she and her team made little bouquets for guests to take home at the end of the evening that everyone loved), and how conscientious she is about sustainability (she uses reusable vessels for everything and doesn’t use disposable foam products - something that can be hard to come by in the floral industry). Writing this review was challenging because it’s so difficult to find the words to properly convey how beautiful everything was and how grateful we are for Naomi and her team’s work! We wholeheartedly recommend Naomi and her team at Nectar & Vessel to anyone looking for floral design for their wedding or event, and we are so thankful to have had them by our sides on our special day.

White Birch Floral Studio

5.0

  • Starts at $6,000
  • Serves Saco, ME

Jessica is a floral designer and event stylist born and raised in Southern New Hampshire. Like most passions in life, Jessica’s love for flowers and plants started at a young age. From making fairy houses out of rocks, branches, and moss in her backyard to planting her own garden with her grandmother each summer. During college Jessica had the opportunity to work for a few florists in her home town as well as her college town. It was there she realized what she grew up loving so much could become a career. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 2018, Jessica opened her first studio out of her home to pursue her passion.

Awarded Best of Zola
I am so happy that I selected Jessica and White Birch Floral Studio to do the flowers for my wedding! She was such a pleasure to work with. I didn't have much vision for what I wanted for my wedding flowers - I only knew what color I wanted my bridesmaids to wear. Jessica took this sliver of a vision and worked her magic for the rest. I cannot get over my beautiful bouquet flowers, the amazing table decorations, signage, and more. Everything made the venue come to life, and it made me so happy to look around the venue and see everything. I want to give an extra thank you for Jessica helping me out with my seating chart - my friend and I created some frames that we wanted to lay on out a table with the table information on them. When I told Jessica about this, she immediately helped me with the floral piece of this, and then provided crates to display the frames and even set everything up for us on the day. I'd recommend Jessica and White Birch Floral Studio to anyone getting married in New England - look no further and book her services!!!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

I highly recommend Flower Moxie!!! The flowers were amazing quality and I even had them delivered on time for a wedding three days after Christmas! I received my flowers 5-6 days in advance due to the holiday, and they still held up a few days after the wedding! The customer service was amazing, especially Alexa! She went out of her way to make sure she could help throughout any point of the service. She was very quick to respond and was very kind and sweet to work with! I highly recommend Flower Moxie and Alexa to help you with your flowers for any event! :)

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Saco, ME

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
I had the absolute best experience with The Faux Bouquets. The flowers were absolutely stunning for my wedding. The owner, Brittany, was so kind and even called me to make sure my wedding wouldn't be affected by Hurricane Helene. Thankfully, my area was not affected, but I just really felt that was a special kindness that needs to be called out. But again, the quality of the bouquets, micro sprays and greenery was so great and photographed so well! And all at a fraction of the cost of real flowers that would have just been thrown away at the end of the night! The delivery and return process couldn't have been simpler! And I loved my husband and I got to customize and keep my bouquet and his boutonniere during a promotional add-on! Thank you again, Brittany and The Faux Bouquets, for helping make our wedding so beautiful!

Garden inspired and organically styled floral arrangements for weddings and events- located north of Boston and servicing the New England area. Owner and artist Ashley has 11 years of design experience in the floral industry, along with a background in horticulture, and general love for all things natural and wild. Dazy Florals is dedicated to utilizing sustainable practices and beautiful locally grown blooms, New England season permitting.

Awarded Best of Zola
You don’t come across someone with this much dedication, passion, craftsmanship, knowledge, and genuine love for their art often. Ashley is truly gifted in all things florals, and every piece she made for me, including my trials, had my jaw drop and moved my family to tears. She puts her heart into every flower she tends to, and you can see it in the intricacies of her work. She’s an artist, and these are her little masterpieces. I’ve grown to respect florals on a new level thanks to her. She knows so much about each flower (even their science names!), how to pair textures, coordinate colors, balance shapes and sizes—she’s making a work of art. So in terms of honoring your vision and creating something magical, trust Ashley with your whole heart. Now comes to the administrative work. Just when I thought I couldn’t love Ashley more, she created slide deck presentations (oh yes, you read that right) on what I was looking for/my inspo, provided updated proposals every time I added something new to my ask, triple-checked any time I made a change, and was extremely communicative, professional, and responsive. My fastest vendor when it came to email. And I’ll admit, I wasn’t an easy client. I went from having no wedding party to having 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen. I went from no ceremony florals to decorating the whole aisle. (I couldn’t help myself since Ashley has such reasonable prices I could actually afford my dream florals, but also once again, my trials were so beautiful, I couldn’t resist). I changed colors, visions, ideas, and emailed her more times than I can count over the course of many months, and Ashley followed it to a T and kept track of it all. Ashley showed up to a walkthrough at my venue that was super far just to get to know the space and guide where florals would work best, taking notes, asking questions, and going above and beyond. She didn't need to do that for us. She did anyway. She kept up with all my asks and updates flawlessly. And on the day, she nailed every single item from boutonniere to bud vase. Side notes: I had a rosary blessed by the Pope for my wedding, and Ashley handled it with such respect, integrity, and reverence. That says a lot about a person. My mom, who has worked in florals and crafts for a long time, was speechless when she saw the work Ashley created. When she looked at the internal workings and weaving, she noted just how much time she must have spent handcrafting my floral crown. When I was walking out with my trial bouquet, I literally had a stranger stop me in my tracks to ask where on Earth I got such beautiful florals and if he can get some himself. Every time we met, Ashley would bring a little bouquet for me, which was such a cute gesture. I secretly dried all of them to keep. And finally, Ashley herself. She is caring, tender, sweet, creative, and extremely hardworking. We believe she is blessed by God Himself lol. (But actually, though. She has a gift.) Her talent is unbelievable. I had a special request for a floral crown, and it was THE talk of the night. People would come over and poke it because they couldn’t believe it was real. Ultimately, if there were more vendors like Ashley, there would be much happier, less stressed brides in the world. And if there were more people like Ashley in general, the world would be a better place. I will miss her. Enjoy her and her florals for me. Let them take your breath away, they will.

The end result certainly exceeded expectations - Mary tailored a gorgeous, unique floral design for us with a beautiful color palette. She went above and beyond by incorporating special Japanese chrysanthemums as a nod to the years I lived in Japan.
