For over a century, Cairnwood has been hosting wedding receptions within its halls. The tradition began with John and Gertrude Pitcairn opening their home for a marriage celebration in 1896. Today, the Estate is available for sit-down dinners with 200 guests or an opulent stations-style event for up to 275. The graciousness of the Estate provides a setting that departs from the ordinary with endless indoor and outdoor possibilities. The distinguished architecture, terraces, grand staircase, balconies, and flowering gardens inspire couples to welcome guests into their own spacious mansion for a unique and memorable celebration.

As the one-time home of John James Audubon, the Audubon Center strives to continue his work by connecting people with nature through his art and the fascinating story of the American conservation movement. The Center provides educational programs to the public regarding the conservation and protection of wildlife habitats and species as well as providing a sanctuary for local bird species. Holding your special event at the John James Audubon Center supports this cause, as a portion of rental proceeds go towards the Center’s wonderful mission. Duportail (Du-Por-tie’) House and The Federal Barn are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places and can accommodate gorgeous weddings and large special celebrations with up to 160 guests depending on usage and time of year.

The Anthony Wayne House, also known as Waynesborough, is maintained by The Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of unique historic sites and the creation of related educational and cultural programming. When you rent the Anthony Wayne House for your special event, a portion of proceeds goes towards maintaining the historic house and its collections, preserving the building and its surrounding properties for the education and enjoyment of the public.

Terrain Gardens beautifully merges indoor and outdoor spaces to create unexpected color and texture combinations resulting in a one-of-a-kind beauty. The venue is adorned with elements like reclaimed barn wood floors, overhead festival lights, and skylights to create a unique aesthetic that’s the first of its kind on the Main Line. The venue offers a lush, horticultural setting with ever-changing greenery that creates a lavish backdrop for special occasions year-round for up to 140 guests. It is situated in the lifestyle complex, Devon Yard, adjacent to the bespoke dining and retail experiences from Amis Trattoria, Anthropologie, BHLDN and terrain. Sitting atop twenty-three acres of picturesque Chester County countryside, the exquisite Main Line estate known as Hilltop House includes grand formal gardens, fountains, apple orchards, and sloping meadows. Built in 1894, this unique and elegant mansion in Devon, Pennsylvania, was home to several prominent Main Line families until it was renovated for public use in 2005. Generous rooms with multiple entryways provide easy traffic flow throughout the spacious wood-paneled interiors, verandas, and terraces. The venue can accommodate up to 135 guests and has ample convenient parking, just steps from the front entryway.

"Where the sky meets water." A country estate of the first order, Welkinweir is nestled into a hillside of 197 acres in the heart of Chester County. The property takes its name from the Old English translation of "where the sky meets the water." To this end, five ponds and a meandering brook are just the beginning of a true visual feast. Remnants of a 200-year-old stone barn, a springhouse, protected forests, abundant wildlife and a 55-acre arboretum paint a scene of incredible beauty and tranquility. Formal gardens and terraces surround the venerable estate house, its earliest roots traced back to the 1740s. Listed on the National Historic Register, the residence lends a time-honored backdrop for indoor/outdoor events. Welkinweir is the home of Green Valley Watershed Association, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to protect and preserve the water resources of Northern Chester County through advocacy and education. Bolingbroke Mansion was built fifty years before the American Declaration of Independence and is just fifteen miles from where that historic event took place. This location has six event rooms, including several excellent outdoor ceremonies and reception locations. Indoors, the mansion can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests. You'll find a beautiful staircase in their gardens that provides a stunning backdrop for photos. There is a side porch overlooking the sprawling green lawns and giant trees for cocktails and receptions. Stone-raised stairs and a landing in their memorial garden provide the ideal backdrop for any wedding ceremony, speech, or picture session. Seasonal flowers, lovely deciduous trees, and evergreens can be found in the magnificent private gardens that lead off Bolingbroke's back patio. The rear lawn also offers plenty of space to seat your guests for either the ceremony or for dinner.
