I was looking for a non-traditional wedding DJ, someone who wasn't too cheesy or "in your face," and that is exactly what I found with this company. We loved working with Nick M. and had chosen him specifically because he was recommended for the type of music we prefer. He read the room and understood the vibe we were going for and was able to fill in the blanks in our provided playlists perfectly. We got so many compliments from guests regarding how good the music was, which made us really happy. Nick was also very flexible and accommodating as we had a lot of last-minute song choices (night before and day-of). He did everything to make sure we were on the same page with the song choices and song order, especially regarding the grand entrance and first dance songs. “DJ Seth was beyond prepared for all of our prep meetings, and is extremely knowledgeable so we knew we could trust him to take good care of us. To be honest, he sold me from the very first introductory meeting when he had a powerpoint presentation (!) to share, and then locked it in with my husband when he showed us the app that we would be using to share our music selections. Music is such a critical component of a party, and the one thing we were certain of was that we wanted everyone to have an amazing time and dance the night away. He definitely delivered on our request for pop music, blending in hit after hit, and got a rousing chant for an encore at the end of the night! We didn't know much about uplighting, but since it came with our package (plus he upgraded us with some fancier lights) we went with it - and looking back at the photos, it truly helped set the mood for the entire party. One slightly different request we had was met with ease - we had some cultural dancers during the reception who had their own music track, and Seth was so accommodating. He also provided the sound system for the string quartet that we hired to play during the ceremony; since it was outdoors, it was nice to have them amplified so they weren't drowned out by the ambient noise. We are so thankful to Seth for helping us throw the best party of our lives! VERY HIGHLY recommend!”

Not just a DJ who sets up an iPhone or Spotify and lets it ride mindlessly, but a DJ who reads the crowd, takes input from the bride and groom, and uses his skill and best judgement to provide music that gets everyone on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding was on their feet for dancing and loved all the music DJ Trey played! He also was fantastic in making sure all of the music played on their appropriate cues and was well-prepared. He was great to work with for our wedding and we can’t wait to throw another party just so we have an excuse to use DJ Trey again!”

“When I say that Dylan and the Moon Units MADE our wedding, I am not exaggerating. They not only delivered, the exceeded our already high expectations in every way possible. Music was extremely important for my husband and me, and we knew immediately that we wanted a live band to elevate the evening. We found Dylan and the Moon Units' information online, and after finding that they were very within our budget we reached out and Dylan invited us to one of their gigs in Hollywood. We loved their vibe and booked them. We asked Dylan to play both our ceremony and our reception, as well as play preset playlists for our pre-ceremony and cocktail hour. Now, I must admit, because music was so important for my husband and my special day, we had *very* specific ideas for what we wanted. Dylan was extremely communicative, answering all of my extremely needy and detailed emails in a timely manner and doing everything he could to reassure me that we were in good hands. We made selections from the list of songs they knew, and also asked them to learn about 10 new songs for us, ranging from unique arrangements of existing songs to deep cuts from 90's movies. Dylan's communication was warm, expeditious, and professional, and I felt really well taken care of. At our wedding, though, is where they exceeded our expectations. The live music they played was amazing, and set the tone for our wedding in the exact way we were hoping for. At the reception, they kept the energy up with a perfectly curated playlist of our requests (and we had quite a lot!) songs they knew would keep the party going. Their song choices appealed to the older crowd as well as the Millennial crowd. Dylan even help me set up a surprise performance for my husband, where I sang one of this favorite songs ("Go Cubs Go") with the backing of the Moon Units band. It was an incredibly special moment. And creating special moments was what Dylan and the Moon Units did best. Somehow, they managed to keep the dance floor packed the entire evening. Months after our wedding, our guests have continuously called out Dylan and the Moon Units as an absolute highlight of our wedding, saying that it was musically one of the best weddings they have ever been to. All-in-all, I cannot recommend Dylan and the Moon Units enough. As someone who was VERY specific about the music at my wedding, they exceeded all of our expectations. Book them for your wedding ASAP - you will not be disappointed.”

“The Lucky Devils Band absolutely made our wedding reception! From our initial phone call with Meredith, we knew we were in excellent hands. She took the time to thoroughly understand our vision and musical tastes, making thoughtful suggestions along the way. Communication was prompt, fun, and Meredith was so approachable throughout the planning process. On the big day, the band blew us away with their incredible talent and ability to perfectly execute our song requests, from jazz to oldies to classic rock. As musicians ourselves, we were so impressed by their skill level and experience and professionalism. During cocktail hour, two musicians played jazz, then they switched to rock mode for the reception. They truly made it feel like our own personal concert and kept people on the dance floor for literally 3 hours! “Where to start? We saw David at a wedding of our friends out in California and we knew we needed to have him at our wedding in Columbia, SC. He agreed to travel, Helped with the equipment I'd need to rent and was super responsive. He has a worksheet of things for the couple to fill out to make sure you are all on the same page music, and taste wise. Like anything the devil is in the details and this is where David and his wife Andrea SHINE. He works a room, he can gauge when the music needs to be turned up to get people moving and his MC skills are on point. Even having the grooms back when a grandfather inadvertently bashed his new grandson :). When I say these two are the nicest people I have met I mean it. My husband comes from a Mexican family, so we wanted to incorporate some Latin tunes into the set list. They made it happen! While keeping with my traditional live music requests. Brian was our band leader and he kept the night moving smoothly from first dance, to toasts, to getting our guests up on their feet. And the BAND members themselves are incredible. Amazing vocals, and even better personalities. We jumped on stage with them at the end to sing the last song. Music is as important, if not more, than the small details of any wedding/special event.
