My name is Rachel and I am the lead floral designer of Velvet Blooms. After studying music with an emphasis in vocals, I began to rethink what my creative path would be. With mentors such as Laura Williams of Poppy Hill Flowers and good friend Kelsea Olivia Gaynor of East Olivia, I began my journey into floral design and never looked back!

We are a young and fun event floral studio. We have tremendous respect for nature and strive to be her storyteller. We want to take what she offers in different seasons, carefully undo, find the connection between her stories and yours, then thoughtfully redo to capture the moments in life that are meaningful to you.

Sarah began her design career at Parsons School of Design in New York City, earning a BFA in Interior Design. Moving on to Boston, Sarah helped to create some of the city's most celebrated galas, weddings, and events with a leading event planning & design firm. Later she joined Boston's top florist—Winston Flowers—where she found her calling by collaborating with other artists to create floral masterpieces for private residences, weddings, and fundraisers.
