“The Lucky Devils Band absolutely made our wedding reception! From our initial phone call with Meredith, we knew we were in excellent hands. She took the time to thoroughly understand our vision and musical tastes, making thoughtful suggestions along the way. Communication was prompt, fun, and Meredith was so approachable throughout the planning process. On the big day, the band blew us away with their incredible talent and ability to perfectly execute our song requests, from jazz to oldies to classic rock. As musicians ourselves, we were so impressed by their skill level and experience and professionalism. During cocktail hour, two musicians played jazz, then they switched to rock mode for the reception. They truly made it feel like our own personal concert and kept people on the dance floor for literally 3 hours! The energy was palpable from their very first note, and their song selections kept guests of all ages dancing all night long. They ended the evening with “Purple Rain” by Prince and it made my life. We can't recommend the Lucky Devils Band highly enough - they were total professionals and our biggest splurge, but SO worth it I’d do it a million times over!!”

We checked in with him a few times before the wedding to discuss fine details, itinerary, and music selections. The online portal they use is easy to navigate, make music selections, and insert music that they may not have listed. Jesse was punctual, professional, kept our events on track, and helped get everyone up on the dance floor. We had two meetings with him, and during those times, he ensured that we knew how to utilize the app he uses. Extremely simplified and has a timeline built in for optimal use. It can pull music from Spotify and YouTube, as well as a few other sources. He also made sure to understand exactly what type of wedding we wanted, and built the playlist accordingly. During the entire wedding (ceremony and reception), he had perfect timing when it came to song transitions, and knew exactly when to play what. When making announcements, he could easily grab everyone's attention and brought up the energy even more so! “The Moon Units made my wedding. It all started when my wife (fiancee at the time) forwarded me an Instagram clip of them because she knew I was set on hiring a live band. I took my sweet time to cast a wide net and to follow, interview, and compare A LOT of bands. We went out to watch our top two choices and when we saw The Moon Units' positive energy, ability to rock the crowd, and musical skill, we immediately knew that they were meant to be our band (just like when we saw the venue we wanted, we just knew). They are highly accommodating, musically versatile, and truly professional, Hollywood type performers who will seal the deal on upgrading your wedding from already great to one of the greatest your guests have ever been to. The three things that most impressed me about them during my wedding were: 1) they gave it their all on every song whether there were two people on the dance floor or the whole group (and believe me, your guests will notice this too), 2) they were able to improvise to seamlessly integrate with all my other vendors and moving parts without any interruptions, as if my wedding was truly an entertainment production, and 3) whether they were singing rock, hiphop (yacht version), metal, r&b, pop, Kpop, oldies, or jazz, they performed as if it was their main genre. We requested them to learn two of our favorite songs that we loved but were skeptical that they could perform because of how hard they were to sing, and man did they prove us wrong! Each of the musicians are friendly, multi talented/multi instrument, down to earth people who love what they do and have a great time performing. They output pure sound candy and also look great doing it. Your stage will be glammed up and filled out, and your guests will compliment and remember your band choice even more than your food, I guarantee it. My wife and I are now semi-groupies (and I'm not ashamed as their gigs take me back to the best night of my life), and we aren't the only ones! That's something that no Youtube clip or online review can really convey. Good luck and have a great time wedding planning, but hire The Moon Units!!!”

Brian was our band leader and he kept the night moving smoothly from first dance, to toasts, to getting our guests up on their feet. And the BAND members themselves are incredible. Amazing vocals, and even better personalities. We jumped on stage with them at the end to sing the last song. Music is as important, if not more, than the small details of any wedding/special event. It really makes for lasting memories and I'm so glad we chose BG Music to jam the night away with us. RUN, do not walk, to book them.”
