Trellis is often referred to as a picture-perfect venue. Trellis was made with the most beautiful English-style garden in mind. We worked for years to perfect our beautiful grounds, creating the most elegant and timeless background for your wedding day. Enter the grounds upon a beautiful wooden Trellis, past our love lock gate, and into a sea of green. From hidden statuaries tucked within our gardens to vintage post lights, and the sound of music heard throughout the entire site, each element crafts an unforgettable atmosphere. *We are closed for most of the 2025 season for renovations. For centuries, the beauty and natural treasures of the St. Croix Valley have drawn people to the area which is now Stillwater. The first to call this area home were the Sioux and Chippewa Nations. Later, the first traders and trappers in Minnesota Territory settled here. By the mid 1880’s, railroading and river activity helped build the community into a bustling town of 13,000 people. Stillwater became the trade center for miners and trappers to the North, and farmers and lumbermen to the West. The Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad eventually saw a need for a freight depot. In 1979, the historical significance of the building was recognized and the Freight House became the first building in Stillwater to be placed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

The onsite director will help guide you through all the details, take the worry out of your planning and see you to the end of your evening. Brookhall can also host your ceremony so everything is all in one place for your convenience. There is a bridal suite, large dance floor and two built-in bars.
