Pave' is downtown Wilmington's newest event space. We are conveniently located on the ground floor on Water Street (near Chandler's Warf)...just steps away from the River Walk and the Cape Fear River. We book it out from 9-4 or 5-10pm. We are going GREEN and not meaning just adding plants (but yes, more plants the better). No more wasting water washing linen/dishes. Our plates/flatware/cups are biodegradable (we do offer an eclectic mix of real wine/champagne glasses). No more 6 foot banquet tables. This venue is meant for social gatherings. Pave' is cocktail style so lounge if you like on the couch, hop up on a bar stool or stand and mix/mingle. We offer all the rentals. There is only one bathroom at Pave' so that keeps our numbers comfortably in the 25-35 range. This is the vision for Pave'. Ironclad Brewery is located in an historic building dating back to 1925 in Downtown Wilmington. The building was completely renovated in 2014, but we've maintained much of the character and integrity of the original building. Our brewers hand forge a wide range of craft beer and hard seltzers, using only the best ingredients available. 128 South is located in historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina on the banks of the Cape Fear River. We offer a unique venue and reception space for your event. 128 South is located in the historic VonKampen Building and features one of the last great examples of a Victorian façade including the original stained glass windows. Saint Thomas was the first Catholic church in Wilmington, built in 1847. Although no longer a church, this beautifully-restored venue in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington is listed on the National Historic Register. The unique and historic Assembly Building, with its beautiful island setting, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located on the sound front at Topsail Beach, NC and owned and operated by the Historical Society of Topsail Island. This historic building with a capacity of 250 people provides a perfect setting for any occasion!

In the year of 1762, Mr. Newberry and Mr. Thames purchased the land from Mr. Gray. In the deed, there was mention of a sawmill and grist mill on the place, but no mention of a house. In 1833 Mr. Byrne purchased the land from Mr. Newberry. At this time the house and store were on the land. Later on Mr. Byrne sold the land, and it change hands several times..." The house served as a mill home, store, and the Gray's Creek post office for many years.
