Where elegance and frugal unite. The Davis-Shai House is a historical 1861 Gothic Revival home/venue that offers classic charm that marries elegance with affordability. Our Camelot room offers large windows with natural light, a gorgeous crystal chandelier and views of the front gardens. The Fairview room has a fireplace, glass doors to join the Camelot room and doors that open to the outdoor veranda and front gardens. In-house catering or preferred caterer with a variety of menu options to select. Our menu options include plated lunches and dinner, English teas, and party packages (light hors d’oeuvres and appetizers), as well as bar service. All event rentals include: indoor tables, chairs, all table linens, centerpieces, glassware, drinks, set up and clean up, and friendly staff and volunteers. The Ballroom at Union Square is a historic space located downtown Newark. Originally built in 1902 originally as a dance hall the venue was renovated and re-opened in 2016 as a concert hall. To our surprise couples began booking weddings and to date we have hosted more than 50. The venue is three stories and features the main ballroom, two full service bars, a full service kitchen, changing rooms, and onsite accommodations for the couple.

Your guests will start by entering a stunning marble foyer which is perfect for a cocktail hour. The foyer could also be great for small events only requiring seating for 100. The main room can seat another 350 guests. We can help you provide your guests with an incredible experience for any event. The Skylight is perfect for weddings, company parties, proms, fundraisers, public events or anything you can think of!
