We had no worries about clean up after the reception or scrambling the morning of between a hotel & the venue for getting ready. Poplar Hill is a 100 acre farm that was built in 1790. The home is surrounded by mature landscape with English boxwoods and crepe myrtles that are 100 years old. Every couple and family that come to Poplar Hill tell us that our pictures do not do it justice! We take pride in the care of the house and grounds and cherish the opportunity to share it with others!

“We rented the Victorian for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day! I highly recommend this to anyone, Brian was so willing to work with us and having the venue on Friday allowed us to bring everything in on Friday so that Saturday flowed so smoothly! Brian was extremely good about emails and communication all the way through our process. He answered all of our questions, gave wonderful suggestions, and also worked with us to allow our day to really be our day! We don't live in NC yet we were able to have facetime tours and make arrangements to see the venue in person many times throughout our process. This was so valuable to me and really helpful in planning a wedding from far away. I can't speak enough about the beauty of the house and entire property! There were so many beautiful spaces for photos and for guests to enjoy. The house itself is a work of art and having so many rooms and fun spaces made for a cocktail hour with something for everyone (indoor seating, porch rocking chairs, yard space, standing room, etc). The entire flow of the day was perfect for us and our guests. The getting ready spaces are TO DIE for. The bridal suite is beyond beautiful and has plenty of space for everyone's stuff food dresses beautiful space for photos. Having two full rooms was so valuable. We had 9 girls getting ready The grooms suite is great for guys - they also have 2 rooms which is so rare to find but gave them plenty of space to move around, play games, eat, and get ready!”
