The Old Rugged Barn property is extremely versatile and the perfect location for your rustic wedding and reception. On the property, there is a large main barn with a 2000 sq ft main floor and a large loft overlooking the aisle and dance floor. In addition to this main building, a large enclosed pavilion and grain bin gazebo also sit on the property, with multiple pastures surrounding it for either parking purposes or use for event activities. Ceremonies can be held in any of the buildings, or outdoors, so the venue can accommodate and bring to life any of your rustic wedding dreams!

Built-in 1921 as a home for the American Passion Play, the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA), then known as Bloomington's Scottish Rite Temple, boasted an elegant lobby fronted by a graceful five-arched façade, a ballroom that could seat 1,000 diners and a 1,320-seat theatre that featured the largest stage west of New York. The Barn at Bull Run is a newly renovated wedding and event space. Originally built in 1933 as a dairy barn, The Barn at Bull Run was owned by Schwab Dairy until it was purchased by the Presbytery of Peoria as well as the surrounding land in the fall of 1967. The Morton Park District now owns the property and has completely restored and renovated the space into a beautiful wedding venue, complete with a ceremony space, reception space, bridal suite, and grooms suite. The venue can hold a max capacity of 250 people.

The Majestic theatre is one of the largest Vaudeville theatre’s in Chicago-land and oldest in the United States, will re-open in late 2010 as a multi-purpose venue. The theatre featuring a/an full stage, 20-foot screen, art deco grand style second & third floor balconies, and rear walking museum will seat 500. Engelbrecht Farm sits on 8 acres and is located in the heart of farming country. A very unique structural features of the barn is the opening to allow guests to be seated to two levels and both levels can look at the head table for a gallery type feel. The other unique feature is its size. It is the largest actual barn (not modern structure that looks like a barn) within multiple states at 4500 square feet. Adjacent to the barn is the old 4000 square foot feedlot with flower garden and iron pergola. Late in the day makes for a great spot for outdoor games. With the barn comes the recently restored, three bedroom farmhouse originally constructed in the 1890’s. One amazing aspect for the wedding package is it’s a standard three day booking.
