An area once reserved solely for the practical application of aging beers, and on occasion for private beer dinners, we opened up this space for guests to host private events such as ceremonies, receptions, showers & rehearsal dinners. Located within DESTIHL Brewery, the Barrel Room is where you’ll find something unique. Our modern-industrial space is perfect for the craft beer experience, a place where you’ll be greeted with our warm hospitality, and an experience unlike any other in Central Illinois.

Located within DESTIHL Brewery, the Barrel Room is where you’ll find something unique. We offer a vast array of menu selections from the Beer Hall and beyond. Our culinary team will work with each host to hand-select the perfect menu for your event.

-FURNITURE: We provide up to 27 custom 8 ft. farmhouse style tables & up to 175 padded black folding chairs for guest seating. We also have barrel cocktail tables & reclaimed wood rail tables for cocktail use -LIGHTING: Italian, handblown glass pendant lights with dimmable Edison bulbs for atmospheric room lighting -LINENS & CHINA: We provide all china plates, silverware, glassware and your choice of black or white linen napkins

Room cost

There is a flat rental fee for the Barrel Room ($2,000-$3,000 depending on the day of the week) and a flat rental fee for the Courtyard space. All food, beverage & service is required through DESTIHL as well.

The Courtyard

A unique outdoor experience for your guests!

The Courtyard is available to add on to your Barrel Room rental. You can have your ceremony in it as well. The rental includes cocktail tables, lawn games, string lights, house music & an additional bar if you choose to open it.

    We really cannot recommend our experience with DESTIHL enough! We planned both an outdoor ceremony on the grounds, and our reception in the Barrel Room, and felt like we had the most wonderful wedding day with friends and family (especially impressive during the COVID-19 period). You simply cannot beat the quality of food and bar offerings that DESTIHL offers to its guest. That, accompanied by the exceptional service of all the staff we worked with on our big day, really made it such an easy day for us. The cherry on top of the service, is that the staff allowed for us to pull vehicles into a garage bay to leave our reception as it was pouring rain outside - they truly went above and beyond. We are so excited to be working with them again next year, for our full reception for our first anniversary!

    Destihl has always had a special place in my heart, but my husband and I were blown away by how perfect it was for our wedding venue. It was the perfect mix of relaxed/elegant, and we had so much fun. Our reception was in the barrel room, which is beautiful and full of character on its own. We appreciated that the food options were very similar to Destihl's restaurant/brewery menus and made with the same care and attention to detail. As craft beer lovers, we were really excited to have a large selection of Destihl’s own beer for guests, but also wine and spirit options as well. We received compliments all night about how unique and delicious the food and drinks were. By far my favorite part of our wedding at Destihl was the staff. They approached our wedding with so much professionalism and hospitality. Amanda, the event manager, was organized and on top of everything. She was incredibly responsive and even reached out at certain time points to check-in and make sure all my questions were answered. Destihl uses an online portal to track everything, which was extremely helpful during planning with all the wedding logistics and vendors. Everyone was so attentive and helpful, which made for a great experience. I feel very lucky to have had our wedding here.
