LAL MOYA WEDDINGS&EVENTS

5.0

  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves Columbia, MD

Hi, I am Lal Moya and I was born in Myanmar. I love to work in creative fields and have spent years in corporate event planning and advertising. I started Lal Moya Weddings & Events in 2019 because I wanted to create a more personal event for my clients. I have absolutely loved working with couples on one of the most important days of their lives. From weddings with 50 guests to over 350 in churches, hotels, and the great outdoors, I've done them all.

We hired Lal Moya to do the florals for our daughter’s wedding. We needed florals for a ceremony, cocktail hour, and full sit-down dinner reception, and we needed it in 4 weeks, AND our daughter was set on a jewel-toned color palette…in spring… Lal Moya came through! The team created gorgeous arrangements that were exactly what the bride wanted. They adjusted the number of arrangements, boutonnièrs, etc as our needs evolved. Their professionalism through the entire process was stellar. The price was quite good. I highly recommend choosing them for your florals. You won’t be disappointed!

Sarah also walked me through finding the right vases to complement the flowers, demonstrating her commitment to ensuring every detail was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better florist, and highly recommend Crooked Fence Farm to any couple planning their wedding. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Serves Columbia, MD

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Terra Florals

5.0

  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Columbia, MD

Loni and the team at Terra Florals provide brides with the best flowers in the mid-Atlantic. When folks who know Loni think of flowers... they think of her. She and her husband are the founders of Terra Florals, the region's premier cut flower farm. Folks come from across the country to visit the farm's huge cut flowers fields and stay at the on-farm bed and breakfast. With legendary design skills and a massive following, Loni leads design classes, coaches local growers and provides flowers for many of the area's florists and designers. Even if her calendar is too full to build your dream wedding florals... be sure to demand her flowers.

I have worked with Terra Farms for the last 4 years, and I can honestly say that my experiences with them over that time have been overwhelmingly positive. Terra Farms has proven to be a local source of inspiration to the communities that surround them. They show people the beauty and value that come with choosing homegrown and locally sourced florals, while creating stunning arrangements and installations with the colorful crops they produce. These are people that practice sustainable agriculture, believe in supporting other small businesses, and jump at the chance to get their community involved. If you have the opportunity to work with Loni and Andy, take it. You will be thrilled you did.

I just wanted to reach out finally after our wedding and let you know how in love I was with all our floral decisions! The process was easy, seamless and, with a little help from my friends, a memory maker. I was totally oooo-ing and ahhhhhh-ing opening all the flower boxes after i picked them up! Each box was another wonderful surprise and i was floored with the quality! AND, best part, they lasted for days and being transported in the back of a work van to the Cape for our festivities. I have been highly recommending your business to everyone that asks. I’ve included some of the professional photos in case you wanted to use them on your site, due to file size, I’ll send a second email with additional photos. Again, I’m in love with bloom culture and cannot thank you enough for customized boho beauty your flowers added to our wedding!

5.0

  • Serves Columbia, MD

Established 2018 I’m Jess owner of Brook Hill Flower Co., an adventurer, artist, momma, and coffee lover. I have a passion for flower farming and creating beautiful designs with homegrown blooms. Growing up in a family where flowers and landscape design were deeply cherished, my love for this timeless art for was cultivated naturally. I personally grow flowers for my brides and work together to cultivate the wedding each couple dreams of. Your wedding should be as unique as you are. Let us bring your vision to life with our detailed designs and arrangements. We’ll work closely with you to ensure every detail is perfect.

Jessica was a joy to work with! She understood what I wanted and totally delivered. So professional and friendly... try angel. I ordered my bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres from Brook Hill Flowers, but got 2 DIY boxes of flowers from Wegman's in Frederick. However, my BFFs who helped me organize and decorate my wedding (at my home) were all thumbs the morning of and needed help putting all the vases together. When Jessica came to drop off the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres, she asked if there was anything she could help with and my MOH ran over and asked for her help. I was upstairs starting my beautification and when I came down the stairs towards my dad to walk down the aisle, I was blown away seeing how beautiful my home looked! Thank You, Jessica!!

Brin's Posy

5.0

  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves Columbia, MD for additional fees

Brin’s Posy is named after my beloved dog. She passed away unexpectedly a few years ago, leaving myself and her pup sister (Abby) to figure out life without her. We were months of grieving her loss when a close friend insisted I channel the grief energy into something positive. A bell went off in my head as my current job as a florist in a far away town was coming to an end. Brin’s Posy helped me come to terms with the loss. I still have Abby (the shop girl) in the shop daily and occasionally out to our farm venues! We love to source local and work with community members.

I've had a chance to work with Chic Wedding and Events for several weddings. As a photographer, timing, communication, and flexibility are vital to me. I've worked through +200 weddings and, let me tell you, weddings can and definitely are stressful. You want someone to be there to assist you on the day of the wedding. Sure, you might be able to allocate a friend or bridal party member to handle these things, but honestly, you probably want everyone to enjoy the wedding day. This is where a wedding planner and day of coordinator will be vital. Based on experience, they know how much time each items takes, buffer times, how to communicate, and make sure you are having the best time at your wedding. I've worked with many planners in the past; Chic Weddings are top notch - 100000% worth it. Everything just gets done. No questions asked. Just as I'm about to ask them about any updates on the day of the wedding, there they are providing updates. Any requests I have from the photography side, they are open to. They listen, they care, and they take action - not just for the couples but all the vendors they work it. It makes the worlds of a difference from my point of view. Thank you wonderful ladies~!! Always a pleasure to see you and work with you all~! <3 Justin Kunimoto Justin Kunimoto Photography
