Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Serves Clover, SC

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

We had a tropical themed wedding and used Flower Moxie for tropical flowers and greenery: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, ceremony arch flowers. I wish there were more tropical related videos on their DIY Academy, but I did love working with my assigned florist and the help desk was quick in their response. For those who are getting married at the same location that the flowers are being delivered (my parents' home), I wish we would have done all of the floral arrangements the day before instead of 2 days before. And our spray roses came a day later and were a little sad looking. But overall, we were very happy with the service and highly recommend to others!

We worked with Bloom Culture for our wedding and the process was easy and fun! Alison created beautiful flower recipes that were exactly what I pictured. The tutorial videos make the assembly process easy to follow and it was a lot of fun customizing the bouquets to my liking while using the flower formulas as a guide. The flowers were delivered in great condition and the flower guide helps you organize everything to make assembly easy. All you need are a few helpers and you are able to save a lot of money on flowers! I highly recommend Bloom Culture for DIY floral arrangements.

We also specialize in customizing anything for your event such as custom backdrops, custom party decorations and so much more."

This was easily the best decision I made for the wedding. The flowers these wonderful ladies put together for me went above and beyond my dream of having rich, jewel colors. I was very happy I'd be able to keep my bouquet, going for silk flowers and they've become a lovely decoration in my house to remember my wedding. The centerpieces were masterful and I'm so happy with how they turned out. The arch was perfectly decorated and the boutonierres for my husband and groomsmen were exactly what I'd hoped for. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for coming to set everything up for us! I seriously can't thank you enough!

Dear Dahlia

5.0

  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Clover, SC for additional fees

Flowers have always been a deep passion of mine. The kind of passion that often made me cry just admiring a flower. I never hesitated to take on a project. It was not only therapeutic, but it was a way to channel my inner creativity. On October 16th, 2020, my husband and I were united in marriage. The wedding planning process was beautiful, and challenging. The challenge came in trying to find a venue, dress, shoes, floral design, and all of the above, that matched my distinct style. My husband saw my passion, and has been my number one supporter in extending this passion into a business. This business is truly my dream.

I have ALWAYS had a hard time choosing flowers for anyone. The flowers I always chose somehow ended up being bad quality and never really matched properly. I found out by word of mouth about Dear Dahlia has a gift of knowing just about everything and anything about flowers. I decided to give her a shot, and here is what I have learned ever since using her. She is not just a florist, she is an artist. Not just any artist, YOUR artist. Every occasion is different, the more details you give, the more she has to offer. She has absolutely dedicated herself to satisfying needs I never even knew I had. Colors, themes, pretty much any event, she knew exactly what I needed before I knew myself. She constantly updates you with where she is at with your order and even shows pictures in case you have a different idea. She just has a variety of different options, including a custom option which is tailored to the needs of the receiver. I have used her for pretty much every occasion: birthdays, valentines day, holidays, anniversaries and even my wedding! I have never once had a complaint, have never heard a complaint about my order from anyone, and constantly receive praise for my choice. (AKA the combined efforts of Dear Dahlia and myself) To put the cherry on top, her flowers were always the best looking ones when comparing other gift flowers. ALWAYS! I will continue to use this service because they have always had my back in the trickiest of situations, and they seem to have an infinite supply no matter what time of the year. The amount of thought and love that goes into this is obvious that they don't do this for the money. It is done because she loves her hobby, and has used it to make people smile time and time again. I wouldn't recommend anyone else but her. She takes all the stress and hassle away from you so you can go on with your life, having one less thing to worry about. P.S. I have tons of pictures I couldn't upload, but once they fix that I will re-upload to showcase their work!

Pandora's Posies

5.0

  • Starts at $100
  • Serves Clover, SC for additional fees

Hi! I'm Kim. I am quirky, creative, and perhaps a bit unusual. While I am local to the Richmond, VA area, I am happy to travel! I have a strong background in logistics and supply chain, an intense interest in quality over quantity when it comes to purchasing the flowers I use, and an even more intense desire to Get Creative.

We wanted to have a wildflower-themed, fun, and colorful wedding with the Shenandoah mountains as the backdrop, and Pandora's Posies was the PERFECT florist to execute our vision. I sent her many pictures from pinterest of what the look was I wanted, and we discussed over the phone what actual type of flowers would work for that. She was very accommodating and even tried to grow specific flower types that I wanted! Her price range was very reasonable, and overall, we were SO happy with the look of our flower arrangements for our wedding!
