Nostalgia drove me into photography at an early age - and lead me into my studies of photojournalism. We all innately know when we're at a critical juncture in our lives. For me, being able to authentically capture, to preserve those moments in a photograph is such a privilege. I know how much it means to me to be able to look back and say 'this is how things actually happened.' There is beauty in those truths. The kind of folks I work with share that appreciation.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot say enough good things about Corey! As people who aren't always comfortable in front of the camera, we wanted to find a photographer who really captured the energy of the day beyond just the traditional portraits. Corey's documentary style was exactly what we were looking for - when we got the first pictures back, we couldn't stop smiling because he truly captured the emotion of the day perfectly. All we've talked about since our wedding is how much we want to relive that one perfect day, and Corey's photos are the way we can relive every step of it. Beyond the quality of his work, which speaks for itself, on the day of our wedding Corey was somehow everywhere, getting shots of everything, while blending into the fabric of the day so seamlessly. We feel so lucky to have had the chance to work with Corey - we have a beautiful memories to look back on thanks to him!

Rebekah Wheeler Photography & Design was a dream to work with for our wedding day. Their communication style was refreshingly upfront, clear, and easy, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The quality of their work is truly exceptional - the photos are natural, environmental, and crisp with perfect focus. Rebekah was incredibly accommodating to our requests, including taking charge to get all the group photos done efficiently, which was no easy task. She also went above and beyond by meticulously recreating a special photo to mimic my parents' wedding photo, which means the world to us. I've loved seeing the sneak peeks so far and can't wait to see the full album. Rebekah is a true professional who helped make our wedding day perfect.

Wow! Where to begin! Peter was so incredible to work with every step of the way! He was flexible, communicative, creative, and fun to work with! My husband is my second photographer, so we come as a photo team! Just like you, I have felt awkward in front of the camera. I’ve had photos taken of me that I didn’t like. When you go on a session with me, I will not only make you feel comfortable, but I will make sure you look good! I will give you prompts to keep you moving so you look and feel natural and comfortable. I’m sorry but there are some angles, and poses that are not flattering for everyone. Like, please don’t take a photo of me from below! Hello double chin! What I’m saying is, I Got You!

Awarded Best of Zola
Lacie was absolutely phenomenal to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. From the moment we jumped on a phone call to see if they were a right fit, I knew they would be. Her enthusiasm, understanding, outgoing way that she relates to people is an energy that you want on your big day. Our engagement session was incredible, she moves so quickly but efficiently, as to ensure you get all the shots you want, but is very mindful of time. Our wedding day was COMPLETE because of Lacie. In addition to her positive attitude, she helped smooth the timeline of events during the day when exterior factors were impacting the photography, and problem solved so wonderfully on the spot. She stepped in to help in moments that were above and beyond what we hired her for, and for that I am truly grateful. Her photography style is versatile and beautiful, specifically catered to your preference. I can't imagine a better photographer for our wedding and we are so grateful!

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
Don’t think you’re photogenic? Worried that folks in your family, wedding party, etc. aren’t photogenic? Justin will MAKE them photogenic. The man is a wizard with the camera, able to capture moments and poses you never imagined possible. The photographer for our wedding was the one thing we knew we would need to splurge on to make sure we felt comfortable and happy on our wedding day. Justin spent so much time working with us on exactly what we wanted while at the same time, truly getting to know us and my god, does it show. Justin was able to capture the true essence of ourselves in our wedding photos, to the point where we started tearing up just looking at them. We cannot recommend this BEAUTIFUL human enough. They are truly the greatest

I’m a storyteller. That’s what I’m here to do - document the story of one of your greatest celebrations. My work is heavily focused on the authentic, unplanned moments. My approach is observational and real, creating images that are genuine representations of you, those you love, and the space and moments you share. I create true-to-life images that will bring you back to some of your sweetest, most treasured moments for years to come. These images aren't just for you, after all - they're for the branches of your family tree that have yet to grow. For the generations to come.

Awarded Best of Zola
I knew we needed to book Kaitlin from the second I found her Zola profile, but it was completely solidified by our meet and greet meeting. Kaitlin is exactly as described. So personal, completely herself, open and transparent, I could go on and on. One of the biggest things that sold us with Kaitlin (besides her work) was the fact that she gave us advice on what to look for/questions to ask with other photography vendors while we were on our hunt. We had our engagement photos in October in Boothbay Harbor and we are actually located in Western Mass. I had ideas in my head about what would work and Kaitlin made the drive to check out the locations and ensure they actually would. One of my locations wasn't the best lighting wise and she gave multiple other options to get similar looks. We actually ended up doing some downtown photos which are some of my favorites (which is a little a lie because I am obsessed with all of them). I read in multiple of Kaitlin's reviews that she makes awkward people comfortable behind the camera and I am here to say it is true. I was so stressed going into things, worried my hair looked bad, we wouldn't get *the* shot, we would look weird, etc. Kaitlin immediately asked me what my worries were and I felt so at ease. Working with Kaitlin felt like working with with a lifelong friend who really has it all together and is such a professional. I truly know that our wedding day is going to be that much better knowing she is going to be there documenting it all.

I am more than your wedding photographer, I am your guide, biggest fan, and the curator of your love story, I will also be the one tearing up from behind my lens.

On our wedding day itself, she put us both at ease and was very flexible when we decided to make a few last-minute switches. Most importantly, she helped capture so many amazing memories with her beautiful photos. We would highly recommend Danielle and Moon Rising Photography.

I’ve been making pictures since I was 12. My parents gave me an ancient 35mm Konica Autoreflex camera, told me to get after it, and the rest, as they say, is history. My role as a photographer is to capture the rare, vulnerable, epic, extraordinary, and wonderfully ordinary moments of life, as well as the beautiful details in between. I strive to make images that come from the heart and will tell your story for years to come. Also, I might cry at your wedding. It happens.

Awarded Best of Zola
I don’t know where to begin! I was hoping to find a photographer who was easy to be around, wouldn’t make us feel stiff and captured the true joys of the day. Jo is your person! She was incredible. We are avid hikers and mountain people and Jo didn’t bat an eye when I asked if she would come over to hike our favorite mountain for sunset/first look photos the Thursday before our wedding. They are the most special photos we have from our wedding and it truly was such an intimate time for us to share together before the big day (my husband, Jo and I all together!) and it made for such an easy transition to working with her on wedding day. Jo captured all the action, often pulling off crazy maneuvers or every laying on the dance floor to get the perfect shots. In the lead up to the wedding she was always available, happy to chat about ideas and really valued what was most important to us. She easily brought on an amazing second photographer as we got closer and picked someone who she truly thought would mesh well with us. I’m not someone who documents much with progressional photography, but I’m truly looking forward to more life events so I can give Jo a call.

Hi, I’m Julie! I’ve been photographing weddings for about ten years now (holy cow, do I feel old!), starting with photographing friends' weddings and quickly falling in love with the work. While I adore capturing gorgeous portraits of the bride and groom and the quiet (and sometimes chaotic!), beautiful moments during a wedding/elopement/engagement session, those ridiculous candid moments (like when a stranger offers you a fry on the boardwalk during your bridesmaid photos) truly make your day uniquely yours. I'd absolutely describe my style as a mixture of classic, artistic and photojournalism, but my heart lies in capturing candid moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
Thank you so much for the amazing photos! Nick and I absolutely LOVE how they came out!! You are so creative and captured all of our favorite moments so perfectly!! Hoping to work with you again soon in the future when/if we ever have an addition to the family!! (If you do those types of pictures) We will be sure to recommend you to all of our friends/family!

Natural, documentary, photojournalistic. Real, raw, candid. We’re not going for any stiff prom poses here. I like to capture the day as it is and to document it as it unfolds. I never want to force anything, but I step in and direct where needed. Being in front of the camera isn’t my favorite thing either. I will be here to guide you and prompt you the whole way, I promise.

I cannot recommend Jenna enough! In addition to the amazing engagement and wedding photographs, she was so professional, organized, and lovely to work with from day one. My husband and I were so grateful for her regular check ins, thoughtful questions, and offers of guidance as we got closer to our day. My husband and I (and our families) are uncomfortable having our pictures taken - but Jenna was so skilled at subtly coaching and making everyone feel comfortable. We were blown away by both our engagement and wedding photos. Jenna’s portfolio is stunning. However, she captured our day in a way that felt unique to us. We loved too many of our wedding photos to frame and so asked her to put together an album. The album was so thoughtfully put together - a beautiful reminder of our day. Thank you, Jenna for everything!

We were stoked. He was amazing to work with on the wedding day - punctual, friendly, got all the requested shots, and the whole bridal party loved him. Our first kiss was on the beach, under a star-filled sky, on my favorite island, only home to shells, bioluminescent creatures, and wild horses. Soon after, as two very young humans (21 and 23), we were married. As newlyweds we set off on an adventure, kayaking from Maine to Key West. On that trip, we realized how much we valued spending all our time together and being in charge of our schedule. This business is how we live out that dream.

We could not have imagined better photographers for our wedding day! We met them to get engagement pictures and we had so much fun- we were so worried about being awkward but they made us feel comfortable! And for the wedding day, they got the best shots and were so involved in the wedding without seeming like they were in the way. We got so many compliments on them day of and especially after seeing their work! Highly highly recommend them!!

Almost all of my couples come to me saying that they feel weird in front of the camera and worried about how their photos will turn out. But of course they want those gorgeous, Pinterest-worthy shots! My laid-back attitude will help put you at ease, helping your true personalities shine through (with simple and fun guidance for the posed photos). And my quiet and calm nature makes it easy for me to blend into the background, to get tons of candid photos that you will make you laugh and cry.

We are so happy with all of Brett’s hard work photographing and creating beautiful memories from our special day. Although neither of us is crazy about having our photo taken, Brett’s laid back attitude helped us feel comfortable and excited to be taking photos at our wedding!

Probably not, and that’s ok!! We have successfully worked with all personality types. Our goal is to bring your vision to life. No two weddings should be the same. We will approach your special day as a huge collaborative effort.

Manai Ford Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. From our initial consultation, he was patient, informative and very articulate in addressing all of our questions and concerns. On the day of the wedding, Manai showed up with a creative eye and provided great direction to ensure we captured all the special moments. He was exceptional at handling our giant family for group portraits. The final photos were absolutely stunning - Manai has a beautiful eye for detail and a talent for romantic, flattering shots. I cannot express enough how grateful we are to have found Chris to capture our special day. However, it goes beyond just that singular day. We had first met with Chris in person for a meet and greet, which I would have never thought to play such an integral role in the process. He demonstrated so much passion for the trade and was already so invested in making sure he was exactly the photographer we were looking for so we could truly get the most out of our day. He also took the time to visit the venue after our meeting to get an idea of what he'd be working with. Chris went above and beyond, every step of the way. He even made it a point to come during the rehearsal as well to be even further prepared. Everything flowed organically with his direction which took away so much stress from the day. Professionalism aside, Chris is just a good dude all around. We're so happy to come away from this experience with not only an amazing portfolio of memories, but a passionate and charismatic friend.

Could not be happier with my photographer choice. Made me feel comfortable and supported every step of the way. My photos came out better than I could have dreamed. Me and my husband are not big picture people and being in front of a camera does not come naturally to us. Natasha made us feel at ease. She even dealt with my crazy dog for our engagement pictures.
