I’m Jessica, the owner, cake designer, and baker behind Louisa’s Homemades. Louisa was my middle name growing up, so I revived this family name through my business. I come from a food family with two Grandmas who will not take “no” for an answer when asked if you’d like something to eat! I fell in love with baking as a child, creating and tasting treats with my Grandmother for family celebrations. Whenever we would bake something together she would always tell me to “pat it with love,” and it is this sweet phrase that inspired my business.

I work full-time as a reading interventionist for grades K-5 in Richmond Public Schools. I have been in education for 14 years! I have four sons, Kai, Chase, Carter, and Ameer. I started baking at six when my mother got me an EZ bake oven.
