Nestled on the outskirts of Maiden, NC, The Providence Cotton Mill gives you an old-world charm, with an inviting outdoor feel. Surrounded by green fields and a plush forest, the 130 year old, two story building features a soaring 30 ft. tall ceiling, allowing sunlight to stream in through the arched, open windows. The main hall is a 10,000 sq. ft. area, giving the ability to divide into ceremony and reception. ​The barn has been built from the ground up by Craig Carpenter, his brother Timmy Carpenter and other family and friends. Many of the trees use to build the barn were harvested from their property and were prepared at their saw mill on site. The idea for a wedding venue began was a dream of their daughter, now Zimmerwald's Estate manager Katie Carpenter White. What began as a simple dream and a sketch on a piece of notebook paper, has now become a reality. We are extremely excited to be a place where beautiful family memories can be made and couples can begin their happily ever after!
