Clerestory at Greyline

5.0

Lexington, KY
  • Up to 350 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $2,000

Housed in a former bus depot & inspired by the original architecture of the space, Clerestory was created to meet a need for large events. With an open layout surrounded by walls of original windows, our vision was to keep a nod to the origins of the building while accommodating up to 350 people in a fresh, elevated, yet industrial space. We simply cannot wait to host you & your guests.

The Clerestory is a great venue if you want to have a blank (but beautiful) canvas to start from. They were flexible with us whenever possible--for example, the contract states that they require a formal caterer with a caterer's license, but we opted instead for a food truck which is subject to a different licensing scheme. We wanted to have our ceremony outside and to have our dog present for the ceremony, both of which they agreed to. Another example of their professionalism is that when I expressed concern that Greyline was having a major event the day of our wedding, The Clerestory got the organizers of the event to agree to no amplified music during the ceremony and paid to rent a nearby church parking lot for our guests. Marks off are for ease to work with and clarity of communication because their emailing system leaves something to be desired and because I would always prefer the contract I sign to reflect any flexibilities they're willing to provide rather than asking after the fact. One aspect of having your wedding at The Clerestory is that you are required to use the Old North Bar, which might be a negative for some folks looking to save a bit of money on alcohol. However, Wes was a delight to work with and we just received a thank you note in the mail with the recipes for our signature cocktails enclosed. It was great to have one less thing to worry about selecting. I would absolutely recommend The Clerestory!
